1 Month of Shadowlands! Asmongold Reacts to "Rewarding or Unrewarding?" | By Preach

It has already been a month since Shadowlands release, Asmongold discusses about it while watching Preach’s latest video, focused on one of the most important topics of the new expansion: the gearing experience! Most things are extremely good but Mythic+ dungeons are still a bad way to gear and would need minor changes to massively improve this expansion..

  1. Torghast, like most random generated filler content is trash. The devs try and fool you by putting on like it’s “design”, but it’s the opposite of design. ie, bloodborne/nioh dungeons etc.

  2. I get to play 1, MAYBE 2 days a week. I have no active guild, I have no friends that play. I came back for the return of the old days with pvp gear. I have NOBODY to play arena with, and even of I did, I'm just not that good. I will play for the next 6 or 8 months, with my limited amount of game time, doing random battlegrounds, to make enough conquest to buy a full set of gear. And I will enjoy that accomplishment when I reach it.

  3. I don’t get why Asmon dislikes mythic+ so much. Obviously you shouldn’t get BiS mythic raid gear, but 5 man content with your friends is great. Endlessly grinding heroic and mythic raids sucks.

  4. The idea that casual players should not be able to get the best gear doesn't make sense. There would be no game without the casual players. There are not enough Asmongolds in the game to keep it running without casuals. And so, why would casuals play if they cannot progress? They won't.

  5. What Asmon and people like him don't realize is if people don't raid, cucking them with loot won't make them raid, it will probably make them quit. If you can't raid, you can't raid – nothing can fix it, aside from losing a job, I guess.

  6. Lol iv been playing wotlk on warname before shadow lands. And to get decend gear you need to put much more time in to the game than in to shadow lands right now…..rng only system isnt good thing but items arent that hard to get.

  7. imagine you spend very high amounts of gold for consumables for m+ or raid to get very low amounts of items (m+ only 1 if not timed run, or 3/4 in mythic raid) but meanwhile pvp players get max ilvl in arena (if good or op comps 🤣) and basically have to spend nearly 0 gold… not trolling or anything, but it is actually not fair.

  8. 1st time i didn't buy the expansion… they can't save the game, too much to fix and too many people to please.. can't wait for them to shut it down.. I'd say 5-6 more years.

  9. I agree that badges/valor points need to return but do not make it mythic+ exclusive? This may be news to some people but I actually enjoy doing random queues with players I don't know and constantly being pressured to play with a community, however small, exhausts me. I like anonymously going into a dungeon and being done in 25 mins and getting something relatively rewarding out of it, which, since TBC and WotLK, I'm not feeling anymore. I don't know why everyone (both the community and Blizzard) are so afraid of making non-challenging quick heroic dungeon runs worthwhile again.

  10. pvp in wow is trash why would you pvp in wow when you could play any other pvp game. wow is pve people only play pvp cos they played pvp from when they started wow years ago. also i dont think pve gear should be good in pvp and vice versa. if your really good at pvp you should not get shit on by a mythic raider cos he has better gear from pve. that makes no sense.

  11. They should just give us a currency that can be used from now on till future expansions
Make it so that when you defeat a boss it unlocks from the vendor for you to buy, so if you want gear from Denathrius you have to kill him just to unlock it, but you can only unlock the gear from the difficulty you did, so if you defeated Denathrius in Normal you can only buy normal gear, if you defeated Denathrius in Mythic you can unlock Mythic Denathrius gear from the vendor, they should also have a cap each week as well so it can get players to play longer but at least they know they'll be getting gear because of the currency they won from doing the bosses
Another great thing they could do to make it alt friendly is that, if you're already cap from the currency you can buy a token for your alt so they can buy that item but its only one token per week, so if the cap is 15k and you reach that cap, you can buy a token that cost 15k and give it to one of your alts but that can only happen once per week
And if Blizzard is worried that people will abuse it next patch/raid tier by people buying a shit tons of items after defeating the bosses for the next raid tier, they should just wipe people's currency every new raid tier/patch
I think the PvP gearing system is great right now and it can be copy and pasted for M+ but the higher difficulty you complete on time in M+ the more currency you get, you can still get currency for not completing it on time but it will just be the default currency you get from M0 and should also have a cap
I honestly think every content should have the same ilvl, so a M+15 can have the same ilvl as Mythic Raiding and PvP as well but they should make it so Raiding, PvP and M+ have different trinkets that benefit players in that content and also bring tier sets for each content so Raiding, PvP and M+ have their own tier sets that help that content they are doing and those tier sets can only be used in that content, so you can't use M+ tier set in Raiding or PvP , and if players are worried about so much gear being added into their bags they could just make a closet like they have in D3 but instead of swapping things and putting them in your inventory, you can add the gear you want to save in that portable closet instead of having all that gear in your bags.

And if Blizzard is worried that players will get confused then make a tutorial for it when the game reads that you got that currency, they literally have a tutorial that shows players where the portals are

  12. I just quit after 1 month. The game itself is fine, leveling in shadowlands was actually fun (to me). But this f*ckying anima system is just azerite 2.0. Torghast is just OK, I feel that maybe more mechanics would make it better. At least in FFXIV palace you get some rewards.

  13. If they added badges/justice valor points to m+ would actually get me to do them. I don't have much incentive now especially with the reduced loot drops. Felt like i got more loot from classic dungeons compared to retail now.

  14. Here is the problem i see: They mixxed the classic and current lootsystem and now we have a horrible abamonation of one.
Because earlier we had a lootmaster and in a decent guild you could (with or without a dkp system) distibute the loot between you, so that a) Most of the time the item was an upgrade for at least one player and b) You had at least a feeling of progress.
But now we have forced PL and so you have no control who gets an item. For example (and we had that happend) one player gets a ring that has an slightly higher IS, but he does not need it because it has the worst sats for him nad now he cant trade it even if he wants to. Hell Look back on WOD, were both systems were activ – groups with PL got one more item per raidboss for that exact reason. So either go full back or back into BFA/Legion territory (but without TF keep that away) or full on pre WOD.

  15. You know what else they need to do? Add worthwhile gear to rep vendors again. If you look back at tbc/wotlk rep vendors they actually had some pretty good options for everyone… not enough to totally gear you out, which is good, but it actually rewarded getting exalted(even revered in some cases) without invalidating raids or even dungeons

  16. 7:12 of course there's no reaction in his face. He got a shit RNG roll after all the work he put in the previous week. How would someone feel that their work could vanish because a slot machine gave you a bad roll?
Also, the game bored the crap out of me after 3 weeks of playing and realizing that my covenant leveling is restricted, my anima gain is restricted, and this expansion feels like it was rushed out the window before it was ready. Anyways, I can't be the only that felt rapidly bored when playing this xpac.

  17. Just make the drops dependant on the amount of kills you achieved.
Let me explain: they should make it so you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for if you kill your target a FINITE amount of times. Just like what happens when you pick a rubber ball from a box full of them without putting it back inside. Eventually, you are going to find the one you are looking for.
Make the odds of finding an item increase each time you do not find it.
    RESPECT. THE. PLAYERS'. TIME. INVESTMENT.

  18. People that brag about pvp from 5, 10, 15 years ago are delusional. Players today are infinitely better than players back then. It's not an achievement to be gladiator in 2005. A grandmaster 10 years ago is a silver leaguer today.
