  1. I always wondered why V had to validate the SID chip when reservations were under Jackie’s fake name. Verifying the SID should have thrown a red alert right away….or am I missing something…

  2. I got the platinum in Horizon Zero Dawn and went back to replay it a crazy amount of times. I got the platinum in Cyberpunk 2077 and now my PS5 is cold and alone. I saw the Sun today. It was nice. Outdoors are cool.

  3. A lot of the people talking about "illusion of choice" haven't even met Hajime Taki.

    I have, and let me tell you: dig deep enough into this quest, and you realize just how stupid T-Bug's plan was.

  5. There are no consequences in this game. There is a quest to talk to Nix, Rogue's netrunner. He taps into an old cyberdeck and gets zapped with some black ICE. At that point you have the chance to jack in to his laptop and run a breach protocol to try and get him out of the ICE. But if you don't run a successful breach (or back out of the breach) nothing happens–Nix will be saved regardless of your success with the breach. All you have to do to succeed in that situation is merely attach your mono cable to the laptop. That's it. Bah.

  7. For me the main problem here is such useless choices basically give you very wrong understanding about game flexibility. Why do you add a dialog option which changes nothing at all? What's the point? In fact they promised RPG of at least Witcher 3 level, but resulted in making Cyberlands: Pandora Edition, but to fool you there're still such dialogs, it really makes me sick.

    And if you would like to protect the game I will give you just one example of how your choices don't matter at all. In the beginning of the game Misty gives you blue and orange pills, where last ones give Johnny more control basically making your body to accept him quicker. During the game you can drink pretty different amount of them, based on the fact of going through Johnny's quests or not. But if you used pills just ones in the end of the game you'll still know that your body is not yours already and you have just 6 months of life left. Wow. So basically the entire plot is constructed around the fact of V's inevitable death and in the end our decision don't change anything. You know, even Metro: Exodus did better job here, because your loyal comrades would donate blood to save you from death, but based on how you went though theirs entitled locations.

This game: has 8 comepletely different endings for a dozen or so side missions and 12 or so for bigger side missions. – I just realized you could do side-story missions different and multiple characters will applaud you differently based on your approach. Cops can recognize you if you've done enough cop missions or been enough of a criminal.

    Yall: I can't comepletely fail a mission in the lowest stakes choice of it when we have a hacker person actually do something different than the speaking options and scold you for it? There's basically no choice or agency! This game is awful! You just love horrible writing and are disgusting fanboys if you can even bear to listen to this.

  10. People rag about choice in games not realizing what they're asking for. Creating a large number of branching choices would lead to a diluted, same-y story because any event that happens needs to reconcile with the variety of choices you could have made before.

    At the end of the day all stories are linear, and the ones that try not to be shoot themselves in the foot. Cyberpunk's story is great because it doesn't fight linear structure. There's a set-in-stone beginning, a middle where a lot of side elements can be included, and multiple endings.

  11. There are literally no decisions in this game whatsoever, aside from the final three endings. I don't see how they could ever fix this. I'm afraid this game is doomed to be mediocre at best for ever. In order to turn this game into what they promised there would have to be years of development put into it. And that's definitely not gonna happen.

  13. Good illusion of choice is one that isnt noticible and brings you to the same conclusion progressively, interestingly, and through different pathways. But with this shit you can tell immediately there is no real differing choice. Dont say choices matter when they dont. Cdpr outright lied, and I would feel bad about the lawsuits if they werent so justified.

  14. Not even a fucking mission fail or an alarm where you have to fight your way up? They litterly give you the same result as if you did nothing as if you did something. A diffrent dialogie is not enough. The lack of outcome is a joke.
