Building a Graphite Power Station in Dyson Sphere Program | Part 3

A growing base needs plenty of power to keep it going, and wind turbines just aren’t gonna cut it! This base is in need of some coal power ready for Bentham’s next big project of making a main bus! But, thanks to some new research, there’s an even more efficient fuel we can use right out of the gate: energetic graphite! With the addition of a few smelters, Bentham goes straight for the next level of combustion power, giving him the capacity to vastly improve his smelting array ready for increased production.

  1. Ive gotten so used to your factorio playthroughs that i have to watch all of your vids at 1.5 speed otherwise you sound off. Game looks promising, looking forward to the next episode!

  2. Small thing – Splitter can also stack, although they do not act as one. Still very useful for bus design where if you need multiple belts of something on bus, you put additional belts above. (ideally bus is every 2 height levels for side splitting convenience)

  3. Unlike Factorio, the iron chest here is significantly more useful due to its shape as its ideal to be besides assemblers. Steel chest are larger denoting their larger size capacity.

  4. I cant wait to see if the game is going to undercut how much material you need for a dysonsphere, or if its realistic.
Cause, you know… surrounding the sun with meterial is going to need nit just huge amounts, but like… a planet mass or two amount of matter to do. If not many more.
Also… the average 1 star solar system has 99% of its mass concentrated in the sun in the middle…
So question is, is there even enough matter in a solar system for a dysonsphere? Or does one have to draq from the sun's mass to even try to build one?

  5. You can only run 6 smelters on a single line of ore if you're making ingots as each smelter makes 1 ingot a second and the belts only move 6 items a second, most of your iron/magent core smelters aren't going to run
