  1. Instead of reviewing characters only, I'm experimenting on reviewing weapons as well! Like if you enjoyed it and let me know in the comments who or what I should overanalyze next!

My Damage Calculator and Additional Information:

    1. My damage calculator's objective is to simplify the damage output comparisons of different builds into a single averaged final damage multiplier.

    2. The calculator always assumes Lv90 Character. No artifact set effect used. Weapon Base ATK going from ZERO to the Lv90 ATK value is factored into the final multiplier. 5* Feather equipped.

    3. Additional assumptions like +20% HP total substat was for the sake of reaching a more realistic ATK boost coming from Primordial Jade Cutter.

    4. I had to factor in the weapon's base ATK increase from 0 to Lv90 base ATK because every weapon have different base ATK. This helps figure out the difference between the DPS increase of weapons with different base ATK.

    Link to my Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wiHmgKo7DAETd00k0MP59BGc-SoXcwS8dkOwYpjDrSA/edit?usp=sharing

My Spreadsheet is far from organized, you have been warned. Feel free to copy it if you can understand the formula flow.

  2. You neglected the fact that the base attacks is inclusive of the Aquila sword. With a standard level 20 attack artifact of 48% attack percentage increase, that's about 10% more attack damage.. before damage multipliers. Your maths is wrong!

  3. I got primordial jade cutter when I have keqing and R1 black sword in hands. aesthetically speaking, jade cutter wins by glowing and matching with (blueish greenish character) like keqing, jean, xingqiu and maybe ayaka. and thr gap windows between both weapon is quite significant. i will stick to jade cutter and put black sword of the stove

  4. Excellent breakdown, Dreamy. Considering how expensive it is to build characters and weapons, I will pass on this banner until there is a sword that more directly synergizes with Keqing. With my AF and SS nearing level 90 already, I need to start prepping for the Staff of Homa. I will say that if someone has not already invested into competitively comparable swords, the Jade Cutter is a great general-use sword for many characters and one that is certainly worth pulling for.

  5. I lost all respect for you after this video.
The comparison of Lion's Roar vs The Black Sword is incredibly biased.
    1) You assume electro is always up which is outright wrong. It will never be up 100% of the time. Vs slimes it will barely show up. In domains or abyss effects applying other elements and causing reactions can happen. In overworld there's even more.
The statement of "Lion's Roar is actually stronger" is outright wrong. Correct statement would be "Lion's Roar can theoretically achieve higher damage in unrealistic scenario" or something similar. Lion's Roar is in no world stronger.
    2) You follow it up with a ridiculous pointing out of a "flaw" that The Black Sword only boosts normal and charged attacks – but you have already included that in avg final multiplier, didn't you? If not, your comparisons are fundamentally flawed.
    3) You completely ignored the fact that The Black Sword offers the best healing of all relevant weapons and this means you can spend more time doing dps and waste less time on healing. In practice, The Black Sword is closer to its theoretical dps than any other sword.
    4) The Black Sword has crit rate passive which allows much easier artifact optimization so in practice it will be way better for majority of players for that reason alone.

In conclusion your final statement "Sounds like a win for Lion's Roar overall" couldn't be further from truth.

  6. I like the cards, it's a very nice aesthetic that is easy to read and really fits in with the feel of Genshin, too.

Anyway, since I already have a good Electro Keq Summit build, I gave Jean the Primordial Cutter, and I have to say it's pretty incredible over Black Sword. Even as physical DPS with a goblet, she can maintain 10-12k uncharged skill crits while spamming 15k charged attacks. Combined with her sustain she once again took the top spot as sustained melee DPS from Keqing, who is more useful for burst role.
