21:50 heavily disagree here with cohh. If you cater to every type of player it makes games less unique.
The devs clearly put a lot of thought into the decision to make ore and metals not portalable, they wanted it to be like that, make the player explore and overcome tough journeys with your valuable metal. I ran into that sea serpent just like cohh and I was really nervous because I didn't want to lose my ship and ore's. It was a really cool experience.
It's the age old discussion of adding difficulty options to dark soul's. If dark soul's had an easy mode I'm sure it would never have had the reputation it has now.
