Graphics are very poor quality. I purchased this game a few years ago from the developers web site I am sure was a pay what you want too, but never found the game to be updated and so forgot all about it. Nice game play keep up the good work.
Thanks for turning off camera shake, now I can watch this series without getting sick. And by the way, you can use half walls for windows.
you need to use roof pieces over your home otherwise the home will take damage from rain – you cant use floor pieces on the roof. That is why the middle of you room is discolored. It can be repaired with your hammer (right click and click on the hammer only in there and you can repair it)

Don’t use floor pieces for your ceiling either. If you make a normal roof you’ll get a rested buff. But if you use floor pieces as your ceiling it won’t give you the rested buff.

You also don't drop below 25 hp whilst resting in your house, do you don't need to eat food best to save it.

Yep, you totally take damage from the smoke. Its pretty slow.
No i did not notice a nerf in wood gathering still 20 per Tree that's how i see it in my game.

So I have been playing awhile and focused completely on a huge building. I noticed the ancient giant tree is slowly filling the sky. Is this a problem? is it because I have not defeated the first boss yet? Thanks and I am loving this game. Fighting with my roof on a giant building.
It's the upgrades you need the upgraded workbench for. When you are in your workbench, click the upgrade tab at the top.
The smoke damage is slow at first and then your guy's chest starts smoking and he dies real quick! It's happened to me.
Neck tails can be used to make a potion to protect from poison. Good for swamp.
Do you know how many times I tell myself not to walk in the fire and then proceed to do that very thing. Which leads me to thanks for the fire ventilation idea.
floors dont work as roof
Developers need to add a "fireplace" item. I know its EA…. But yeah. Fireplace for indoors campfire outdoors.
It’s because the wood is damaged and is also because u didn’t structure it good enough u have to have more structure under your floor
Don't even need half wall just stick a shelf on the wall (for stacked chest) – half walls are really more for windows…and not really for foundation walls although I use them too because they looks nice and easier to place than the posts.

You can roll to put the fire off
just a tip Kage for stacking chests … put some 1×1 floor and put your chests sideways so you'll put 4 chest instead of 2
Floors are not roofs. Water damages most things that can be repaired not covered by roof .
miscolor -> flat roof doesn"t work pieces under the flat roof damaged by the weather.
If you turn Vegetation down in the options, it helps with finding stuff. Makes the land not as detailed though.
You'll need to cover that floor parts of the roof. Only stone and roofs pieces don't decay
At 6:41, u were being injured cause u were standing where the smoke was from the fire place outside. I also found out that if u build 2 core logs and place them on the floor, then build a fireplace on top of that, u can put the fireplace anywhere in the house and u don’t need the ground. Please like this so people can see it and be aware!!!!
If you look at your builds and they are yellow and not green when you have your hammer equipped means they are missin support and in bad weather will degrade down to 50% and you will have to keep repairing it. Also around fire places you can fit 3 cooking racks.. just some tips
You can put down horizontal core wood beams on floors and you can place a fire pit on top now you can have a fire pit on a second level or if you made your house on stilts and the floor is on the ground
Right around the 24-25 mark of this video, youll see those stones laid out like a boat… dig with a pick axe inside of that area… surprises await!
Different color means that the object is damaged (use hammer to repair). Why you may ask… well, because of rain, believe it or not. Do not use floor pieces for the roof becaue the rain will destroy it… and yes, it means that your dock will fall apart if you do not cover it with thatch roof.

you can repair your tools and weapons. in your workbench menu there is a icon to the direct left of the item menu that has a lighted border. click on that icon to repair your stuff.
I accidently summoned the first boss when all I had was a shitty tunic, bow, and stone axe. Luckily I had a lot of arrows on me and just stayed moving. Beat him on my first try… not sure how I managed that lol.

The discolored wood you ask about is damaged. You can repair it using your building hammer. BTW, good idea on the fireplace design, very cool. It is a very English or German design. I went with a Nordic longhouse design with a long firepit in the middle of the house. Also, building the stake wall around your house compound will help keep the critters out when they attack, thereby preventing damage to your house structure.
The discoloration in the floor means it needs repaired

yeah you will get a smoke icon and start taking damage if you don't vent
You can put 2 meat cooking racks on top of the fire if you place them on each end of the fire place 😉
You can have two cooking stations over a fire 🙂
Use a single big door vs the half doors. So .uch better.

The floor boards aren't good to use as a roof they will weather in the rain. Use the roof pieces. Their are lots of them lol.
