You don't have to build anything to see the comfort bonus. You can have the item selected with your hammer out, have it in a valid position and the comfort level will update. Yes that updates the amount of comfort, yes you can sit and get a rested buff equal to that comfort level without building anything.
Also, Lox is already plural. 4 Lox.
Thank you for all the help but could you do a video about how to get your account back when you got affected by that bug that’s been going around but if you know is much as me cause this game just came out not that long ago I understand and thank you again for all these tips
Yo I need help! I was just sailing around the map, pretty far away from home. I came across the plains and got killed by a deathsquito on the boat. Is all my stuff gone for good? Because I don't believe there is a way to get anything from deep underwater. I really don't want to start over!
Edit: finally got everything back after a day of toiling and got a new knife after discovering the source. This game is amazing.
I was thinking about the ore that can't be ported and then it hit me… Make a game where you make your main house, with everything to process the ores. Explore and loot in the 2nd game, once full, log out and in in 1st game, do your stuff and come back to your 2nd game right where you left. I can log off directly in the Sunken Crypt once overweight and come back empty handed in only 2 mins. Rinse and repeat!
This game is so fun, I just made a really nice house, I was tired of my little cottage

did exactly the same but only get 16 comfort.. can't figure whats wrong
The buff area seems so small. I feel like it should be within the workbench size
You can get a level 2 comfort level by building a shelter around the Ancient bowl at the Elder boss.
Can you tell us what details of what the rested buff provide. Is it more health / stam or quicker regeneration…?
Do you have a food explanation of what’s good and not good when facing powerful opponents. Also what’s the combo that gives you 200hp?
I love the comfort system its a really unique and immersive mechanic that's adds a bit of extra depth to gameplay, a Viking couldn't go on a raid without being comfy surely!

Comfort level seems to be more of a prestige level. Hence why lower 'tier' objects lower it. Best tier objects not marred by lower tier object keep the area prestigous and so, comfortable.

why dont i have dogs/wolves in my game? ive been through swamp but not swamp boss….
Why would they be the same? A chair is more comfortable than a bench or a stool, because it offers back support.
I seem to max out at 14
Sight of poor people with their basic beds lowers your comfort level… I didn't know this game was that realistic.
I dont have a problem with the different items of the same type being lower, but the highest should over ride the lower, not the other way around.
Please stop doing your intro the way you do. It is just tooooo annoying.

Feels reasonable that a chair with back support would provide more comfort, it could take 1 more wood to build tho.
You can get comfort level 3 by digging a tiny hole straight down in the ground near your fire and shoving a roof piece of your choosing on one of the corners, reducing the overall cost down to 14 wood. Woohoo. XD
Can you help me understand why before my death was able to craft the Stagbreaker, but after dying and retrieving my body, I can no longer see it in my recipes. How do I get that particular recipe back. Yes I did retrieve my body after dying?

Does anyone have an opinion on the fact that there’s a developer console that people are going to inevitably cheat on. Winds me up when people say they do it because they don’t have enough time, these are the same people that would look at the summary of a book and say they have read it all. Otherwise literally a perfect game, why let people cheat. Crazy.
Would make more sense that the higher comfort ones would be the one counted and just override the lower comfort ones. Doing it the other way around kinda feel backward.

I was able to get comfort 2 by accident and I still am not sure how, but I was standing under a roof outside of my house (small patio-like) and working smelter. Then I suddenly received comfort 2

Haha if you are in the swamp, there are some trees you can kinda sneak under(some will work even sneaking on the side not actually under anything) that will give shelter. then the cost of wood is a lot less, this is good if for some reason you aren't running away from everything there.
