Genshin Impact NEEDS To Get More End Game

I love Genshin Impact, but at some point, they need to challenge players long term and give them something to aspire to! Waiting for Resin daily is getting old, and having insane characters with nowhere to use them feels weird.

  1. The destiny raid formula would work in this game, or even have things that are similar to strikes or nightfalls. with grandmaster difficulty ect. with enemy & game modifies. similar to what the bounty targets have.

  2. As much as we love Genshin, we have to admit that most end game players are stating to get bored with the game. I don't if it is just me but 1.3 felt dull. 1.1intoduce the reputation system giving us more things to grind. 1.2 had Dragospine, even though it is rarely visited these days it was awesome on release. It provided us this sense of exploration that we enjoyed like the first time we played the game.

I know that 1.3 had given us the biggest event we had to date but to be honest most of it is very repetitive.

First, the featured story. Xiao's story was good but it was not even close to Leonard's story in 1.1. That story literally had me in tears. In 1.2, Albedo's quest provided us with much needed lore. The only thing I remember about Xiao's story quest is that Starsnatcher guy.

Second, content. 1.1(reputation system, resin cap increased, gadgets, free 4 star), 1.2(new area, new domain, free four 4 star weapons(3 craftable,1 free maxed refinement, pet) 1.3(new boss{useless if you dont have Xiao},that dust thing{quite useful}, gadget with free stuff weekly, a free four star)

From what I have been hearing, 1.4 is going to be a version 2 of 1.3. I don't feel excited at all. Right now, it is not worth it to roll for characters unless you really want them. What the hell am going to use Hu Tao for? Exploration?

  3. In other games, you need to farm specific enemies for specific items, with specific drop rates – NO RESIN.
The chance to pull a perfect 5 start artifacts from big bosses are less then 1%, so I really don't understand why we even have this resin limit anyway. On top of that we can't fight the big 3 bosses more then once in a week, so why on earth we need to spend 60 resin exactly? The whole resign system is broken.

  4. I've heard that Mihoyo didn't expect the game to be as popular as it was. So they also didn't expect people to blow through the currently available content so quickly either. They've got big plans this for game. If there are seven Gods then there's probably going to be seven large areas to the map in total, plus any extras they may add like Dragonspine. There's still so much to come in the future. Best thing anyone can try to do is just not overplay the game right now.

Edit: Though one thing I have wondered about is the leveling system in the game. If there's still a lot more story to tell and places to explore, will our characters eventually be like level 200 at the end? Imagine gathering materials to ascend to that lmao. I'm not sure if they've scaled the leveling properly, or if they will keep it capped at 90 and they just give us more chars to level up instead. But as you say, if nothing else comes along that's stronger and harder to kill, the game wont be a challenge to players who already have their chars maxed at level 90.

  5. Mtashed you had this same problem with Destiny (and so did I) but at some point you're going to have to deal with the fact that one singular game will never be meant to support a 24/7 content cycle from someone with unlimited time to put into it, like you have as a content creator. It's okay if you "beat" the game. If you want a game to basically live in, you'll have to pick up a real MMO

  6. Ok bro we get it. You got all the strongest 5* characters and 5* weapons and you beat the spiral. As someone who played every day since launch I'm yet to get a 5* weapon of any kind and I'm stuck on spiral 11 with shitty artifacts that keep rolling with hp and Def.

  7. yup. they really need to add more stuff, cuz after like AR30 there's like nothing. I was really disappointed there was no new area for the last update cuz all the new quests are both super boring and done in 5 minutes… still, i don't play as many hours as you obviously do so i am still enjoying it, but yeah, it's definitely not as fun after a while…

  8. 7:08 yeah this game really rewards casual play, I play one to two hours a day and it has been really good so far, I do my commissions, spend my resin, take a look at the event do some story or word quest, if I still have some time I explore a bit and that's it for the day, I am at AR 40 and still haven't finish the main story yet, mondstat exploration is mostly done, dragonspine and liyue exploration are at half (I'm using chests to measure exploration here), haven't used a single piece of fragile resin yet, so plenty of content to go through.

But with all of that said I don't know if casual players are enough to keep a game like this going for years to come, we will have to wait and see.

  10. More and More Endgame? Who's going to come up with all this new content? Isn't it boring to play the same dungeons over and over again? Just to increase the "numbers" on some weapons or equipment? To have higher and higher numbers? What for?

It's like a book, the last page is reached at some point. And you should stop when it's at its best. Take a break and wait for a sequel, or a new area. I know, it sounds easier than it is. 🙂

  12. This is one of the Key Problems that Purely PvE Based Games run into –
Unrewarding Progressing solely for the Sake of Progression, With no real actual Benefit from Achieving and Optimizing to the highest Degree that the game has Laid out.

M.C. Escher’s Famous Work of Art: 'Relativity' – Provides us with a great visual representation of this terribly flawed concept that so many Game Developers use these days. They essentially have built a Staircase for us to Climb so that we may reach the next Staircase, and the Next, and the Next and so on; With nothing more than a False Promise of exciting and fulfilling rewards at the Finish-line.

Genshin Impact is honestly better than any game that I have played over the past Decade, both Visually and Content wise. But I’am not into the End Game yet, and providing a Great End Game is arguably more important than all of the rest of the combined; And yes, it absolutely can be done right.

Genshin needs to either add Open World or Arena Based PvP to the game, or "Play to Prosper" PvE Raiding/Dungeon content with alot of Depth. In either case they would need a great Ranking and Reward Systems. The furthest achievable Progression needs to be Difficult enough that only the most Dedicated players that have fully optimized can achieve. And the Players who manage that need to be rewarded handsomely with exclusive and extremely Rare Items that everyone else would be Envious of; Perhaps Mounts, Pets, Exclusive 5-Star Artifact Sets and Weapons, Exclusive 5-Star Characters, Ect. This wouldn’t be beneficial in terms of Gacha Mechanics as you’d need to actually play well and be knowledgable to earn the rewards instead of just buying them. But it would stabilize the game and provide players with incentive to progress to the point of being able to reach those rewards and also give everyone potentially endless content to stay entertained.

  14. Sounds to me like, for you, Genshin is at a point where you have to bench it on the side. Do your daily stuff, close the game. Play something diffrent, thats just how Genshin is. Not much engagement, do dailies, wait for updates. If they dont add endgame within the next 1-2 years miHoYo are proven to be lazy and the game can be dropped for good at that point.

  15. I agree, it IS boring to do the same over and over bcs there's nothing else to do. It Happened in Warframe long time ago, but they keep adding stuff and new mechanics which makes the game interesting (or at least gives people a new end game to chase after)
Yet as you say, is not like I want to quit

  16. Being a causal player, it’s even worse… once i finish the story, and I’m not planning on doing the abyss (maybe for the pyro girl constellation) but what is there else to do until the next region is out?
