I took Ganyu to the naughty corner (the one at 18:56 exactly) to summon for Hu Tao with 143 wishes available, but zero into pity. I pulled her after only 35. Also got one of each of the 4* for extra constellations. Best use of 35 wishes ever.

I got 2 staff of homa in one 10 pull using my pity though and I wasn't in any special naughty corner. It's just RNG. This is the same reason people where lucky charms and do all kinds of weird stuff. Association isn't causation.
