  1. Every time I go into the swamp I see a 2 star draugr and I can't do anything it feels like against them. They do more damage then my shield can stop and always send me into a stagger. I always have to run away and lead them into a troll or kill them when they are distracted killing other things. I don't have any problem with the normal ones.

  2. Really good guide.
Can you please turn off the camera shake effect in future guides? I can't look at the screen shaking like that.
You forgot to mention turnip seeds. And making a bonfire can be quite useful if you're spending a lot of time there because bonfires aren't extinguished by rain.
The biggest danger for me in the swamps is submerged logs in water that you can't see when you're sprinting, it's like running into an invisible wall. When you first enter the swamps you should always know your tactical retreat path and you'll be okay. The terrain is your biggest disadvantage.

  4. I parked my boat right in the middle of the swap and thought my Troll armor would save me
Got 4 draugers on me one of them with a star
Died and even lost my boat and a cart I managed to put on the boat ……
I got my cart back thankfully but damn the swamp is nasty

  5. Want to add my own tipps to this List:
Destroy Enemy spawner with a bow from a decent range. They dont spawn mobs then and its at easy as it sounds.
Inside cryptes: dig the top out on the blocked doors and use arrows to clear the next room if you have problems.
Dont park your boats near the swamp xD

  6. Beat the elder and with the help of a group called the body recovery squad, got my gear back after dying here and even set up a portal so once I get some potions I'm gonna set up a base

  7. Very nice video. I'm really struggling with the swamp. I managed to get inside a crypt, but well it was full of mobs and they killed me. I play solo, and I think I'm as far as I can go in this game.

  8. I ran into a whole bunch of 2 star Draugr's and they just kept dealing so much damage. Level 3 bronze armor didn't matter, they could 3 shot me. Ran into more starred mobs than nonstarred.

  9. Tip for gathering iron: Take longship and the mats to make a portal, leave a portal at your base unconnected and named whatever you want. Go explore your world map, drop down your portal twin when you need to repair or drop off loot at base. My brother and I did this for farming iron. We would put the workbench behind the crypts, this allows you to climb up and jump on top of the crypt and put the portal on the roof where it's safe and out of the way from enemies. We were able to dump all loot that could go through portals at home and put only the scrap iron on the longship. 30 (stack of iron) × 18 (slots on longship) = 540 iron. It was so satisfying to bring that haul home.

Also the bronze pickaxe is worth upgrading to max level (4) because the durability allows you to clear a crypt with a back up antler pickaxe and a buddy doing the same, sometimes we would finish a crypt without finishing our bronze pickaxe durability. Currently I run a level 4 bronze pickaxe with a level 3 iron pickaxe. I treat the bronze pickaxe as my general purpose one and the iron for silver and obsidian exclusively. The less often you repair, the more time you save, the more you get done.

  10. Almost 112 hours into the game and we are 3 and doing swamps, we have deer hide, upgraded bronze armor, bronze sword and mace (shield is really good to have, for blocking). For food: sausages, jams and carrot stews… poison potion, health potion and also stamina potions. If you find a abandon Treehouse, build a shelter. Dont wonder of by your self, go as an group 😀

  11. I'm mad at how fast you are able to find a sunken crypt, bruh I found the runestone to spawn bonemass before I've even found a sunken crypt and I've boated to two separate parts of the swamp biome already. I originally thought that it was a sunken crypt because they said two green torches but I guess it's not, even though it's sunken. Confusing.
