  1. Seeing as some people seem to be triggered by this video I would like to make a statement.
No, I do not think the devs are stupid. I think some choices made are dumb but that does not make them dumb. Smart, amazing, and fantastic people can make bad choices. It's called being human.
Also, I get it's a small team and a month old and these things take time. There is NO Valheim hate here. It's a fantastic game and I want to see it continue to do well just like you.
So instead of being triggered jump down there and just let me know what you would like to see in the game at some point.

  2. my changes would be:
    1. add a strength skill. Gives more carry weight per level
    2. slightly faster forage item respawn timers
    3. change the long ship into 2 different ships. One with an addition storage and same stats(hp/def) but slightly slower. The other with 1 storage but has more hp/defense (shields on the side idk).
    4. Slightly improve early game stamina bar. Its just so painful swinging the pickaxe/axe 3 times and having to afk for stam. Also early game every player has to experience so annoying people early is just a bad call. Late game stamina is no issue but it takes to long to get decent food thats easily replenishable.
    5. Larger storage space in chests. Never made a personal chest before but just add another row to each box. My home is just peppered with storage boxes I have like 20 just for food+mats for food and another 40 for all the items you accumulate over the course of playing.

I dont think inventory is an issue really its not that hard to keep it clean but the problem is the carry weight. I always run out of weight before I run out of space.

  3. Enjoying the game a lot, but it's quickly become apparent over my 30hrs that's my absolute #1 bugbear right now is inventory. It absolutely needs gear (Inc 2 hands + ranged weapon) ammo at least 1 ammo slot and a "belt" option for at least the 3 foods. I would like a backpack and a horse also. But the game will get old real quick for me without the inventory being sorted. If they care or not since they have my money already? Who knows.

  4. A lot of important stuff in this video but to me most important is the content what ever its developer made or mod. This game is a gem and just points out that there is demand for games like Valheim. More PvE oriented. But for me im already done with the game till they release more content even with unofficial mods there is nothing to add in game that keeps me interested. I run 500% increased dmg HC challenge and had no issues of clearing the game. Everyday I keep browsing mods to see if there is something that adds more flavor to game so I could find reason to play but as it is now there is nothing and game is already "dead" to me.

  5. The problem I have with inventory, is that you are limited by slot and weight both. It should be one or the other.

It's annoying that the the variety of items going around the world fills up your slots in just a few minutes, while your weight it less than half full.

Then you go into a crypt or mining and fill up weight but have half the slots open cause ore weights so much.

  6. Honestly, I haven't had much of an issue with the inventory. I'd be fine with adding dedicated equipment slots, and I definitely like the idea of quick stacking into chests, but if you just learn to prioritize what you pick up you'll be fine. If you make the game easier, then people will just burn through what little content there is even faster.

That being said, perhaps the answer is different game modes. Creative Mode for obvious reasons, Survival Mode for those of us that enjoy a challenge, and Cheese Mode for the rest. Otherwise, use mods to make the game easier if that's your thing.

  7. I think having less inventory space in later stages of the game is intentional. You see this in lots of games, the more prepared you are and safer you are, the less resources you have to play around with. In this case its inventory slots. But I think its a perfectly fair tradeoff to lose my entire bottom row to run around with great armor, increased weight, better food, and a few meads. It means you need to explore with a specific purpose in mind and can't just grab everything you see.

  8. Cant say I 100% agree… I dont really care about mods nor death markers but the inventory can sometimes be very frustrating. I dont mind the need for inventory management but I think that the amount of slots we have is NOT enough due to the fact that armor/weapons stay in the inventory when equiped.
It would be great if they would add some more decoration options and more building pieces. Some additional options for tames would be great as well… By that I mean more animals to tame but also some sort of animal commands (think Ark) as at the moment its just pretty much pointless to tame stuff except for a food / hide supply. Would be awesome to get something we can ride! Or just build some sort of sled and use wolves/boars/loxes instead of horses? I'd also love to have some sort of talent/skill tree (think 7 days to die) and attributes (think literally any RPG out there that lets you increase your stats on lvl up – Increasing strength for example would increase the weight you can carry etc) but I'd like to say that I am very happy with their current system that levels up skills by actually doing stuff – its a great concept and I always liked it in the games.

  9. I'd love to have a small+medium sized leather bag for a belt, nothing too fancy, just 1/2 additional slots, and a leather backpack for like 2-4. It would be great if such things would come with defeating Eikthyr for example, that would give the deers some more usage. Or with boars. Nothing too fancy and not too many changes and addons – most games suffer from an overload! And such overloads make the game toooo easy. Would be cool if u could access the bags for your food/weapons seperately from your inventory, and a backpack for heavy materials that may give u some stamina relief/movementbonus.
