In this series, I’m playing through the wildly popular post-apocalyptic epic ‘The Last of Us Remastered’ on Playstation 5!

After many MANY inquiries, the wait is finally over and I am going to be adding this classic to my streaming repertoire. I haven’t played one second of this game so this is a totally blind run so NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

  1. I would so be down to watch you play Pt. II and the DLC for this.

I was blown away by the gameplay of this when I first saw it. It seemed so fluid and innovative with unexpected tricks like enemies hearing your revolver click and realizing you were out of bullets. I had no idea anyone could think of it as outdated until you mentioned it. I'm living in the past lol.

    Thanks for the callout!

  2. The first game for me was one of the best games ever. I realy loved the story… I recently played the part 2… I honestly can say that the part 2 is the best game ever made… If you understand every choice and understand why and how the story is developing… you will have an emotional rolercoaster. I honestly think that the game is a masterpiece… first one i loved so much but the second one… man… its been days that I finished it and i am still thinking about it. And still I didnt mention the technical fidelity of the game… the atention to every single detail… the mechanics, the animations, the transitions, the sound, the graphics, the density of the world… basicly atention to every single detal. Honestly, for the story side of the game I think the part 2 for me set some standard that I think it would be hard to beat. It was diverse, emotional, strong, interesting. I felt love, fear, anger, hate, and sorrow through the game with some heart breaking moments that made cry.

  3. James. Like you say its more realistic but because of that its game mechanics are indeed quite slow. The playability of the 2nd one is far better and dont listen to all of these people who got triggered by the sequel – they are generally quite pathetic people. When you play it you will see why and why the hate is unnecessary. Play the DLC as it dosnt take very long at all and watch the TLOU2 E3 show from a couple of years ago (the party trailer as opposed to the guitar one) before starting the sequel – it will make sense when you play it.
