In this video, she matches Hu Tao with her black coat, red earrings and turtleneck, rings on her fingers, and even her hairstyle. And of course her shotacon side is showing when she explains how Xingqiu is her favorite character.

  4. I definitely believe a LOT of genshin character voices is purposely selected from the japanese va first then proceeds to another language but not for every characters. Because most of the jp cast not even do any audition and the voice was so right with the character.

    I love every va in any language but sometimes they a little miss for some character.

    I was lucky enough to get c2 for Mona, Hu Tao, and c1 Hu Tao in about 23 wishes.

  19. Her voice work in HuTao was extraordinary. I came in not expecting much but her portrayal of HuTao blew me away. Like she said, Hutao has a very particular character. She seems suddenly go offtopic/say uneasy things with a smile on her face and you think that she might be slightly insane or ridiculous. But she has reasons for it and we soon find out about it.

    Spoilers When she said she would perform some form of ritual then revealed to us that she was just going to stand and do nothing, lying to the other guy. I thought she was horrible for doing it. It felt pretty scummy. But after she explained her reasons about people needing tangible things to settle their unease in fictional thing that they strongly believed in, there's really no other way. Because telling someone otherwise probably never works. There was just so much sense and logical behind her actions that may appear otherwise on the surface. Hutao is misunderstood and Rie's portrayal of her was perfect.
