I’m not kidding. The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the best quality MMORPGs out there right now. This is an MMO that has a buy-to-play business model traditionally, but as of right now, is 100% entirely free-to-play. Meaning you can log right into the MMORPG and play it without paying a cent!

  1. Yes, you read that title correctly. The Elder Scrolls Online is currently 100% free to play until April 13th. If you've ever been curious whether you should invest money into the popular MMORPG, then I urge you to give it a try right now. You have over a week to test it out in its entirety. Or you can win a copy.. by watching this video. Either/or. Good luck and have fun! I hope to see many of you in-game over the next couple days!

  2. Kinda excited to try this! I’ve always really wanted to try it since I love MMOs but didn’t want to purchase it and then bury my self in it for a couple of days and then find out I didn’t like it so I am def trying this!!

  4. ESO has one (if not THE ONE) of the most greedy business model among all games. I would never pay them again. I paid once – that was mistake – never again. This game has sens only if you are planning to play solo like offline game.
    This game has few business models at once – b2p+p2p (for serious experience you cannot avoid those two)… and now for few day f2p.
    ESO=1BiG greedy sh..t

  5. I'd like to get this game because I'm in school to be a family nurse practitioner and have limited money as I am a student.. This would be a great way to decompress from the books!

  6. I've always liked the Elder Scrolls games but I've never been able to play The Elder Scrolls online because I just haven't had the time or the money but now that it's free-to-play for the moment I think I'll give a shot

  8. I've played the Elder Scrolls since Arena, but have been hesitant in getting online with it. I would love a chance to get into the MMO version of the game, and play online with others!

  9. Can anyone confirm if ESO has changed the way leveling is done in the last year or two? Every time I have tried to play the game the leveling process has made me quit pretty quickly into it. I would finish an entire adventure/story DLC zone's quests and get from like level 30 to 31 and MAYBE 32 from the quests. The leveling seemed to be way too heavily revolved around grinding mobs for XP and that has zero interest to me in game where its biggest draw is its story.

  10. ESO, from the little that I’ve played during this event, is beautiful, chill, and so full of things to do. I can see myself playing this for hours on end. 😀

  11. Going to download this game when I get home. I just tried going back to Everquest after 20 years and it’s just meh. Everything is just not the same and I need a solid mmo in my life. I only get to play a couple hours a night so hopefully this will cure my itch

  13. While the fully updated game (containing the updated base game and the last four years of chapter expansions) is $40, the base game (which includes only the updated 2014 game and the 2017 chapter) is on sale for only $8. While you won't have access to the newer expansions, the jewelry crafting ability (introduced with the 2018 chapter), the necromancer class (the 2019 chapter), or antiquities (the 2020 chapter), you'll still have a large world and avoid the time limit for trying as much as you want. Since ESO does about three ESO+ trial periods in the course of the year and these grant you access to all the DLC including the 2018-2020 chapters) you'll be able to try them out within a few months' time as well. It's a good time to hop in and give the game a go. Many cool systems in the game like housing are open to everyone without purchasing DLC and anything you do in this trial period (including unlocking achievements and acquiring houses) will save and be maintained should you come back with the same account in the next free play period or purchase the game. There's no reason not to give it a try. I've only played eight MMOs myself but none has come close to ESO (I was fortunate not to try it when it first released as that was pretty rough but they did an excellent job in correcting all the issues from 2014 by the time I started in 2017).

  14. Its free to play for 6 days. I thought its permanent. Yea cool but its not surprise. Eso always had this kind of think where it had 6 days free to play thats when i tried the game but for me it was not worth the money.

  15. I've been trying to look for a single MMORPG that I can enjoy as much as I used to. I've always loved the Elder Scrolls series, however I've never even tried this game. I hope I really enjoy this one.
