Half-Drow is an amazing choice for warlock cause they get 2 free spells they can cast daily, which helps the warlocks limited casting. They also get the benefit of being bomb ass bitches who survived the underdark >:0

Personally I am going with the half elf Ranger, vanilla I know but it is my response to KOTAKU. Plus that was the first character I ever played back in the ole pen and paper days and generally play that type in most RPGs. My character my choice right? I have played pallys and fighters but until the full release can't play pally.
For early access you can't achieve higher than an 18 in a stat and saves don't transfer to the final game. So if you're making a wizard you don't have to build for int since you can get a headband of intellect (gives 18 intelligence) from killing the three ogres in the windmill town.
So basically what your saying is pick wood elf.
I have a Rogue Half-Elf Drow and that's working out really well.
So basically never pick human lol
Shame, one thign about game like this they should let you pick anything and still be good at what they do but it all about race kind of takes the fun out. I would like Ranger but your saying Wood Elf and even if you any race still work be as good, I hope they change that because would like be race i look how ti looks and be what you want

Don't overlook Half-elves — they are extremely adaptable to most classes. That option to pick your bonus attributes is awesome and you get all kinds of extra benefits (as opposed to humans).
I’m playing a shield dwarf wizard right now. You won’t be able to get 16 intelligence right away, but Medium armor proficiency with 14 dex and 16 con really help survival. And I’m pretty sure if you’re not using Laezel, you can take her armor.
The most important stats for Cleric are Wisdom and Strength/Dexterity…

…so I’d recommend the Gold Dwarf, for their +2 in Constitution.

How about a Gith wizard with 8 int and dex/str build and Rush for 18 int helmet?
So if i want to be a Drow, Tiefling or good old fashioned Human…………reroll to a wood elf or a Dwarf!! gotcha!!!. Lets hope by final release Larion has sorted the stats out properly, at least we know what their favourite character classes are lol
