  1. Rough news. Mixed feelings about the schedule. 19 games in 30 days is tough for any team but for a team with 19/22 players recovering from covid thats asking for poor quality hockey and the risk of long term health complications and injuries. Not too impressed by the league decision. I believe the PHO still needs to approve and sign off on any plan for rtp. Im as big of a hockey fan as anyone but im not sold on this revised schedule and the long term health of our beloved team for this short term move just to make up a shortened season where playoffs are unlikely anyways.

  2. I'm happy to see more games scheduled for the Canucks; however, It does feel slightly forced. There's a good chance our roster is not going to be playing at 100% for the remainder of the season.

  3. I had no doubt the Canucks were going to return. If it were safe to play, there was no way they were going to quit on the season. As for making the playoffs, let's cheer the team on and let the chips fall where they may. They will need some help from other teams to beat the Canadiens, but 8 points is within the realm of possibility. Thanks Clay!

  4. Hopefully they will play soon and hope our players are 100% healthy.

Canucks haven't been playing for over 3 weeks in total and they're just coming back to play, assuming tonight's test results detected negative. Just looking at the modified schedule, the Canucks are playing with a grueling schedule … again, including 6 pairs of back-to-back games. When the Canucks played prior to their covid outbreak, they were playing more games than any team in the league, including the 6 pairs of back-to-back games. Playing with more back-to-back games in a compacted time period could impact the players' performance in a negative way. These players need time to recover from playing before they can play their next game. Lack of recovery time will lead to fatigue. I hope the Canucks will get through this gruesome schedule and hopefully make the playoffs.

Canucks deserve better and they shouldn't have to go through some gruesome schedule like this in any season. Sure, they're playing during a global pandemic. However, in any season, no team should ever be playing a handful of games, like 5-7 games for example, more than other team in the league. It's just not fair.

  5. I'm surprised they're back so soon or … even at all. Let's hope the illness and the
time-off doesn't negatively effect their energy level upon return. Gotta catch Montreal and stay
ahead of Calgary. Got their work cut out that's for sure. Go Canucks!!!
