The PS5 Has A Battery Problem?

Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of talk around Sony and an issue dubbed CBOMB where the battery inside the console will run out of power causing the PlayStation system to not play physical games anymore. This was mostly for the PS4, but people were also wondering about the PS5 so I figured we could take a look at it today and see if it has the same issue.

  2. This is why I've gone all digital on the Switch, I realised a while ago there's little difference between physical and digital now.
Also I only got a Switch for Pokemon and the kids, I haven't trusted consoles to keep my back catalogue safe since the PS3 release and the lack of backwards compatibility.
I do hope Nintendo keeps the Switch catalogue alive but it's much easier to store handhelds.

  3. I am glad that the PS5 doesn't suffer from this issue when it comes to the physical media, but I am still worried about the PS4 not receiving some sort of update to fix the issue there. I know that a lot of people are bringing this up now, but we need to keep on it with Sony to respond. I feel if any sort of steam about the issue withers, Sony won't ever properly address it.

  4. Thank God so now we don't really have to worry about the c bomb issue even if the PS4 dies we could just use the PS5 I mean yeah it suck we can't use the original hardware but at least we got an alternative

  5. And this is the system everynody os trying to run out and get ? Dont make me laugh🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 just pc people. The only company that makes reliable and future proof consoles is Nintendo

  6. I like this idea of a video, but I'm thinking that you should try to load up a game that hasn't been updated to the latest version. Say that you buy a system 10 years from now that doesn't have internet capabilities anymore and the game can't receive any updates; will an older version still work without the server? The future definitely seems scary.

  7. As a physical collector when i start getting and collecting ps5 games. I know the ps5 is somewhat future proof unlike the ps4. So when i do get a ps5 i can still play ps4 and ps5 games years down the road.

  8. PS5 seems like a myth to me at this point. Extremely disappointed to which I’ve decided building my first PC. Then come to realize all the GPU’s are also sold out. I might just join an Amish community. So I go to the Amish community to inquire about possibly becoming a member of their congregation and was told that in order to become Amish, that I’d have to complete a chore for the community. I ask Brother Ezekiel, what is the chore? He said, “Go buy a PS5!” 🤬 FML!!!

  9. I’m pretty sure they’re working on it right now of patching a PS3 and PS4 to remove the time bomb for it that’s why they continue the PS3 in the PS Vita is not only due to supply and demand but also they need to make adjustments to be sure that all their digital games can be used without having a issue with their digital games with CMOS bomb

  10. I was waiting on GoT and SMMM to go on sale for $29.99, but after the CMOS reveal I can’t give Sony anymore money. Glad that I bought a prebuilt during the PS5 Launch.

  11. Great video, but the problem still is that if I remember reading correctly only a select games work fine. Does it play on Twitter did some testing and the results were a mix success some disc based games work and some did not. But can't remember if he only tested ps5 games or both ps5 and and ps4. So the issue still remains just not as terrible as the ps4

  12. It would be nice if one day people didn't treat this like its news 🤦‍♂️ yall really worried Sony is gonna get Thanos snapped 😂🤣

  13. Thank you spawn wave for going out of your way and being objective and testing of what's going on. So far reporters of IGN and CNET are not even talking about it, they're talking about the newest development in games but they're not exactly talking about the biggest problem that gamers are facing.

  14. Also as well, I don't see how it's even relative to buy a PS5 considering that the slim model is going to be on the market pretty soon, it makes me wonder what the scalpers are going to do with their overflow stock.

  15. I still have the PS5 controller and I hook it up on PC and it's a lot of fun when you hook it up to steam, and you still get some of the PlayStation games that used to be exclusive, so there's really no need for me to even get a PS5, considering I even have a nvme drive, so I don't even need Sony and I can change my out my own CMOS battery.
