PS4 Pro in Prioritize Screen Resolution Mode, PS5 with Ray Tracing On and PS5 with Ray Tracing Off all render at a resolution of 3840×2160 using what appears to be Checkerboard Rendering.

There’s noticeable ghosting on PS4 Pro that isn’t present to the same extent on the other consoles.

PS4 Pro in Prioritize Frame Rate Mode renders at a native resolution of 1920×1080.

PS4 renders at a native resolution of 1600×900.

  1. PS4 Pro in Prioritize Screen Resolution Mode, PS5 with Ray Tracing On and PS5 with Ray Tracing Off all render at a resolution of 3840×2160 using what appears to be Checkerboard Rendering.

    There's noticeable ghosting on PS4 Pro that isn't present to the same extent on the other consoles. This ghosting can be seen in the Prioritize Screen Resolution Mode at 15:11.

Nicely done and thank you for sharing but once again hate to bring this up again 😂 the checkerboard rendering to bring out 4k reodlution for both Ray tracing on and off on PS5 does it look identical to true native 4k when comparing it? Also second question, I am not sure if you could answer this but there is Virtual surround sound settings and I am confused if whether that allows tempest 3D audio output or is it Dolby 5.1 surround which is not 3D audio) through high end headphones?

  3. PS4/Pro is quite capable still running at ~ 60fps, really impressive considering it's a last gen console and this is a new game. Especially when you remember the PS3>PS4 transition times, when last gen consoles struggled to keep 30fps with heavy screen tearing. This shows that PS4 can easily be competitive a few more years to come

  4. RT is just a new hot thing to market these days, doesn't make much difference but tanks the performance. Just like the "3D" buzz back in the day to sell you new TVs you didn't need, when nowadays nobody cares about it

  5. Why not lock base PS4 at 30fps and use a dynamic resolution with 1080p as max ? Why allow the fps to jump between 30 and 60 ? It feels "jumpy" and stuttering. Especialy considering RE is not COD.

  6. Everyone talking about how well the PS5 is running the game, when the true star is base PS4 holding its own. True it’s dropping from 60fps but it looks extremely playable.

  7. Ok but the rt mode is not running at 45 fps it's pretty much hanging on 60 , Can they drop the resolution to 1440 p or 1800p so it can lock at 60, This game is so pretty even at 1080p it looks amazing.

  8. Base PS4 version holds up really well. Wonder how REmake 2 and 3 would have ran if they had a 900p mode.

    Also, I would be interested in seeing you turn the FOV slider all the way to 90 when the full game launches to see how the framerate holds up. Almost threw up while playing the demo with the default FOV.

  9. can someone explain to me why should we choose on ps4 pro the resolution mode? That mode is not good… the resolution is very low.. I think for ps4 pro is better the performance mode, what do you think?
