Activision-Blizzard’s earnings call masks shadows below. We hope you’re not fans of Crash, because we’ve heard some bad news. And Blizzard’s not doing much better!

The sooner CHINAVISION crashes and burns to he ground the better.
I'd say it's less that their 'mistakes' were hidden, but rather that they were largely ignored.
The dream of Warcraft 4 gets foggier and foggier.
@Bellular News Why would Activision care about portfolio diversity when that only breaks them even on production costs, if they're lucky? It makes more sense from a business and financial standpoint to laser focus on the ONE video game that practically prints them money.
Hiring 2000 people after firing or laying off a bunch of people? What gives?
Ok, can we please stop calling them Activison-Blizzard, because Blizz have been dead and buried for years now. It's taking the piss at this point.
Acti-Blizzard: We hired 2,000 new devs!
Also Acti-Blizz: We're paying them 5% above minimum wage. Why aren't they pumping out killer content?
Easy.
Activision: LET'S GO COD! MAKE MILLIONS, GO!!!
Matt we both know the reason you won't give up your source, is90% of your "reporting" is you guessing and making shit up. This company is going strength to strength. They aren't going anywhere but up.
what suprise me is they have not release crash team racing remake on pc it wuld be a good money make for them but release crash bandicoot 4 on pc they did ad their cosmetic store on crash team car racing but the gameplay itself is good just need a ranked online racing becus of speed runners
I love how Bobby Kotick gets more and more demented in every video's thumbnail
Oh boy, the Rogue Encampment BGM is a throwback I needed.
I am not a MOBA player, but I know from watching friends play it that LoL has a very good 'skillpress feel' akin to WoW's. With Riot's better pay, over a decade of LoL lore, and that hotkey smoothness, I could honestly see the Riot MMO (espescially since they yoinked a decent chunk of old WoW devs, including class designers over last couple of years) absolutely curbstomping WoW in the future. As someone who has played since 2007, only thing keeping me subscribed is my Mythic progression guild. If the Riot MMO or Ashes of Creation has as satisfying and smooth PvE content, I'm gone. For last 7 years Blizz has been burning away my last Costumer Good Will.
Bel, you guys should make a 'Best Of' for all of Activìsions fuckups pre blizzard merger.
In addition to being a sad/hilarious compendium of the dumb shit Activision has been doing for near decades, it would show the youngins where these idiots got their corporate culture started.
/Trashtivision
Should have released Crash 4 on Steam.
Considering how critical u are of WoW(wich u should be) this is just shows how the company is beginning to look more and more like a scam, the execs slowly draining the money out of the company so that in 5-10 years all the IP's collapse from a lack off decent content and they can go enjoying their billion dollar pension.
Really not different from a criminal organization if u ask me.
Oh well, this is what happens when you sell your dreams. R.I.P Blizzard & Star Wars.
hiring 2000 devs which be layed off slowly to give kotic that sweet 200million bonus
I look forward to the day we get Call of Duty: Azeroth Burns. The game will feature characters such as Malfurion with his trade mark Flemmenwerfer and Sylvannas and her mustard gas launching M203.
You’ll all still buy and play the games. And hey, if you want in on capitalism, go buy blizzard activism on stock and let other players pay for you to play for free. I’ve never payed for a day of game time or expansion. In fact, same with Apple and their stock, Tesla and their stock, all this is free to me. If you don’t want to quit bitching and educate yourself xD
Kotick is probably friends with Epstein.
I'm not too excited for the Diablo II remake. I was burned by Reforged and I think Activision have lost practically all enthusiasm for the D2 remake from those customers.
Pay 50 ingame premium currency to have Deckard Cain Identify that Unique item….
I'd love to see some Spiro style guns in CoD 😀
Activation doesn't care about WoW anymore. It's all CoD.
Outsourcing is pretty lame..
Activision hiring 2000 developers for half yearly cycle of cod .
I saw the OWL once in my entire life. It was at my gym. I dunno if ESPN was airing it or what.
It was two Widowmakers jumping up and down trying to snipe each other from 10 meters away.
And that was about what I expected from competitive Overwatch.
Gordon Ramsey with two slices of bread on either side of Bobby's head would make a satisfying thumbnail.
Jak and Daxter trilogy remaster please
There should be a rule that CEOs MUST actually use and understand the products their company are selling on the same level as the average player.
2k new staff, after years laying off hundreds of people out of the blue, especially during holidays.
after my expierience the bigger a buisness gets the harder it get to do communication and properly managet and keep it working properly together. what easily can lead to an internal collaps. not first time this happens over the last 30 years thats why at a certain point if it grows too big it leads to an internal collaps due to bad prepareration.
You forgot to mention Heroes of the Storm, but then Blizzard seem to have forgotten about it too 🙁
Just shooting themselves in the leg, well I guess they are profit aimed company and humans are a resource abundant in stock atm…
I'm 20 and when I was around 10 yrs old, having only played WC3 from Blizzard, even I wanted to work there when I grew up. That's how they rope in their poorly paid employees I guess, through their passion.
This whole situation with Blizzard is just profoundly sad. Starcraft 1 is the whole reason I learned programming. Playing that game made me want to learn how to make my own games. Before that I wanted to be a lawyer, lol. So I started reading books on programming and finagling a copy of VB6 and VC++ out of friends with siblings with access to academic copies. I then went to College and got a degree in Software Engineering, all for the hope that maybe one day I could work at a company like Blizzard or Bioware. That was my dream. That didn't work out, because I graduated when there was a huge slump in hiring and couldn't get a job, and just settled for a normal programming job. And since, things have only gotten worse. Bioware and Blizzard, my original goal, are now in shambles and you couldn't offer me enough money to work at either. It is just kind of depressing. The thing that shaped my life in such a drastic way is just… ruined. It just makes me sad. And to top it off the sheer greed that Blizzard has shown, with how much they are willing to milk their hardcore audience has killed all my motivation to even play any of their games currently. A game I've played more than any other, World of Warcraft, and I just have 0 motivation to play it. I was so looking forward to TBC Classic, and yet their greed has even killed it. I never had a plan to use the boost or anything, so its not like I'm lamenting the costs. The costs and needlessness of the situation just makes their greed all the more apparent, and it was frankly what killed my motivation to even try.
blizz is getting kinda desperate, i even got an email from them about wow and i never get these emails i also never played wow cos i just dont like it. and they def know this lol.. also activision seems to be another complacent company just running its money making titles on repeat like some kind of fifa or nba or some stubborn follower of a political party refusing to see any possible reason from all sides etc. or also fantasy team nonsense, also about classic, not sure its a success seeing how it was just influencers playing it and they could always get payed for this, i dont think real people have much interest in some old outdated thing with massive grind attached specially those who already have their nice regular wow players
Basically – Activision wanted to milk Crash in the same way they milked CTR – and threw out their rattle when they discovered Spyro and Crash players couldn't be treated like COD NPCs.
all signs of a corporation in a coffin
"People aren't seemingly as transferable as Activision would like to believe"… another great word for this is fungible. I've seen it happen all too often when management tries to apply practices from one industry in another, especially when it comes to software. Strategies and people don't work as a cog in a machine as well as they think, but they typically also don't have to deal with the consequences later on.
The level of greed of this Acti-trash, is beyond astonishing. If they could monetize the content of shit, they would. Sure, thats an undigested corn, but only AFTER monetizing it. Bunch of trash…
