Anthony Davis recorded 20 PTS, 6 REB and 4 AST for the Lakers, while Talen Horton-Tucker added 13 PTS, 5 REB and 10 AST in the victory, including the go-ahead 3pt FG with 20.3 seconds remaining in overtime. Julius Randle led all scorers with 31 PTS, 8 REB and 5 AST for the Knicks, while Derrick Rose added a season-high 27 PTS, along with 6 REB and 6 AST in the losing effort. The Lakers improve to 39-30 on the season, while the Knicks fall to 38-31.

  1. Great game, super entertaining. Both teams played their hearts out, GREAT to see the Knicks are BACK. I'll take a game like this over any 130-plus three point shootout with no defense being played, no intensity. Some of the most entertaining games in NBA history, IMHO, were played in this style. I'm talking about the Knicks/Heat battles, any MJ playoff series, late nineties/early 2000's Lakers vs. Spurs (Bruce "Edward Scissorhands" Bowen guarding Kobe=priceless), Kings, Blazers, etc….. Yet for some reason, the NBA tweaks the rules to make games like this rarer and rarer, less intensity, less physicality. Kind of a bummer. I hope the league takes notice.
