This has been very fun to watch – I'm glad Vinny is finding some enjoyment in it. I was missing his content. About the game itself, having grown up in N. America with Romanian parents, it's neat seeing these familiar words and foods woven into the story and gameplay – I've never encountered a game with Romanian 'rep' like this, if you wanna call it that (CastleVania doesn't really count, as much as I love it, lmao.) Although things are infinitely less scary in the game when I think about one of my stocky, no-nonsense aunts living in Bran, near "Dracula's Castle", who could probably take on this entire adventure by herself and triumph with nothing but her bare hands, lmao.

Imagine playing a game where ammo is scarce, AND THEN SELLING THE MORE POWERFUL SHOTGUN THAT WOULD TAKE LESS BULLETS TO KILL THINGS.
One thing odd about this game is that weapons seem to just be straight upgrades over each other if they're in the same type. I mean they pretty much are in re4 too technically but at least theres an argument to be made about the red 9 versus the blacktail and I prefer the red 9 myself. Although if you prefer the regular rifle over the semi auto or another shotgun over the striker you're either an insane person or don't know about the ditman glitch respectively. Then again while the killer 7 is cool and all the broken butterfly is just so much better and you get it for free.
Vin, if you read this: the "boring" parts of the episode are when a lot of the open threads from previous episodes get closed 👍 definitely don't be ashamed of having to run around

so i started watching this series and then i said fuck it and bought the game after watching part 2. i beat it today, and i was surprised that vinny hasnt even found the FIRST bonus stage. he gets three extra lives in there! wish him the best in this playthrough.

Since he asked here are two cool things to nab: 1) check the key item Luiza's necklace twice, 2) the zombies near the shield statue in the center of the village opened up the mausoleum nearby (the red line on your map that seemingly has no building attached).
Also as someone who has completed the game 10 times: I can confirm Vinny is correct. Donna and Moreau's sections are fun the first time (especially that heart pounder baby section), but runs 2+ they suck beans. Dimitrescu shines as classic Resident Evil pathing and shot management as you get the four masks in like 10 minutes, but the other sections come off as tedious and barely anything to work on.
