Cyberpunk 2077 Performance Leaked! Were We MISLED?

Leaked NVIDIA performance Charts seem to show that CD PROJEKT RED may have been… OPTIMISTIC, in what performance PC players would accept as “recommended” with their published Cyberpunk 2077 “system Requirements.

  1. I got a 2080 and I won't even be getting 30fps without dlss…? Damn I feel for so many of you rn…. Especially when you still can't get a 3000 series gpu….

  2. If the PC doesn’t run it so we’ll then is it not worth getting it on a series X|S instead or a PS5. Just I have a feeling that CDPR Normally optimise better for consoles, I have a feeling the Witcher 3 was the same too when that first launched.

  3. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

After Witcher 3, I'm waiting until I get new hardware and the game is sufficiently patched.

And by then you'll get it for cheaper on a Steam sale.

If you keep falling for the hype, it's on you.

  4. Blunty: "seriously… who games at 1080p these days…"

Me a filthy casual with limited income: The F*ck you said to me you little sh!t !?

seriously tho, Imma just wait until I get my hands on the game and see how it runs on my 5700XT and my Ryzen 3700X, the only real benchmarks that'll matters will be the one from the ACTUAL launch day with both the Day 0 and Day One patch

also, yes I know OMEGALUL AMD GPU user, but hey, ya can laugh all you want but at least my wallet wasn't BUTCHERED in the process 😉

  5. I am new to the pc hobby so can someone explain to me why technology is lagging so fricken far behind that you need the best card available (that you can’t even find) just to get a decent framerate

  6. If you have some sort of adaptive sync you don't need 60fps as much. you can go as low as 40fps and not really worry about it. Unless you are playing something really fast paced like COD or Doom.

  7. !!! – MAASSIIVVE EDIT: I too suffer from information blindness, My bad! It seems they changed that table a bit more. Before they specified High Settings, Now its ultra. Probably because Ultra and Medium both surpass 60FPS in rasterization. For the raytracing bit, there isnt much else they can list really. On that front all we can hope is getting a patch or 2 to improve that. I also wonder what the visual difference is with RTX Minimum vs Ultra and if this intails the level of details in these settings or that some RT features are fully disabled. Alright, Continue readong. Ig nore the part where I said they specified "High settings, Cheers. – !!!

This is a great video, but will have to correct you on something. These tests are run at Ultra Settings. We have no idea how far "Ultra" is pushing the visuals or if it is even tested to be playable. It might be the mode where they whent crazy with visuals, to get all the prettiness they could and still get around 30FPS. where-as high, their Recommended Setting for the GPU mentioned, might be more controlled. I have had numerous games, Red Dead Redemption 2 Among them where loweing setting gave a MASSIVE boost to performance, to where i want from 30 FPS to 60FPS with minor dips on my 1070.

These tests are alos ran with the Ratracing features enabled and there are a few, basically all of the know raytracing features we know have been implemented. Global illumination, Shadows, Ambient lighting, Emmisive lights etc. This game has all the raytracing you could dream off in a game that actually benefits from it. What is show is an absolute monster for any GPU's and is, I believe, more ofr a show case of what they can do. I am not defending them, not at all. But this is no reason to bash them. You focussed solely on the spec and numbers and not the data that is presented.

According to early benchmarks released (and taken down but I copied some of it) presented by Tom's Hardware, at 1080P Ultra settings, a 2060 gets an average of 54FPS, while an 3060 Ti gets 77. and a 3080 gains 102 on average at 1080P ultra, Dropping to Medium sees a rise in the 3060 Ti to 104, but the 3080 hardly benefits. I would guess this indicates a CPU bottleneck as the cards seems to be tested with a 7700K or it needs a few optimizations.

Furthermore I want to point out that none of the marketing material CDPR has shown of CP2077 had Raytracing enabled. What they have shown you was purely done with rasterization. They have severly undersold the visuals and if the marketing material already made you happy, you will not miss the raytracing.

Personally, "Ultra" means the best they could afford wihout dropping or staying close to 30 FPS while pushing the visuals as hard as they can, and in many cases this sees a dimishing return as was evident by Read Dead Redemption 2, even at console settings it looks great and if you use Hardware Unboxed Optimized settings it looks even better and veryclose to ultra, I can not see the difference (Also because the TAA is abhorent in that game, as it is in anygame at 1080P.) Anyhow. To me "High/V.High" and below are the playable, tested presets and always the target for the listed specifications. They even went out of their way to specify it.

OH, and I still use 1080P, Why? No 1440P offerings were necessarily better than my 1080P monitor or excited me. Just a resolution bump is not enticing enough. Sofar the only panel that piqued my interest is the new MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. Its fast, Its great, and doesnt have Worse than TN levels of contrast to achieve that. I'm excited! But availability? Weell… Non-existent.

  8. From what I’ve seen published, the game is designed to scale for old hardware and hardware not even out yet. If you remember the Witcher 3 at launch, it pushed all available hardware when maxed *a lot*. CDPR builds games to look great 7 years later. So I imagine Ultra means “not advisable for right now”. If it runs well at High Settings, I’m fine with it.

  9. I a mid range of gamer and I'm honestly glad I'm playing this on series x right now…i don't have the funds to build a rig to support decent frames but I did trade my old xbox in and could support 300 for a series X

  10. Use performance mode instead of quality in 1440p to have the 60 fps and maybe it will have a balanced mode. So dont worry and probably its not with the day 1 patch and maybe its wad with Denuvo system to protect the game.
    We see tomorrow !!!!
    Finally 🤩🤩🤩🤩

  11. Got a 3070 specifically for this game, to see these results is pretty pathetic to be honest. Im really disappointed to see that they were targeting 30fps. When the majority of games gave been targeting 60fps for the past few years.
