Nothing is more frustrating to have 30 kills on an assassin, and lose anyway because your team doesn't know how to use your pressure to close the game.
Slayers are designed to take advantage of skirmish situations, so they are weaker in teamfights and they have no goal other than to be a 1v1 killing machine. This is why a slayer, fed or not, can kill an adc or mage but still lose the game.
In theory: The Slayer dives the ADC, the ADC gets peeled by the support.
In practice: The supports a fucking yuumi that's been riding your toplane around since 15 minutes, leaving you alone and defenseless, and anyone else on the team with CC has three braincells.
All I'm saying is there is a damn good reason I play Kai'sa and Ashe and take exhaust into these matchups
so what you're saying is, ppl cry about no counterplay because it's the only class that has counterplay?

The absolute worst thing about slayers is when players in Platinum and Diamond, who have a fundamentally higher understanding of their champion, bring it to Bronze/Silver. That is truly when there is no counter play, only death.
if they ONLY reason they lose is cause they missplay and not because you made a move that can get them, thats the definition of no Counerplay, if they dont mess up you lose.
the lie that keeps this non sense in the game is the "high risk high reword" the only problem is that this class is the lowest risk class in the game cause they can choose when to be in fights with other classes cause they have way more burst and sustain mobility, making them no risk, if an assassin doesnt want to be in a fight he has the most tools in the game to make sure they are not in that fight.
the problem with the players is that they let a class that saying "if they mess up going in 1v2 they adc maybe will survive" about it is ok, not that the slayer was fed, not that the adc was hurt, no, a full hp adc plus a support and they adc maybe will survive if the slayer mess' up. why ?
why does every class have items to counterplay them, but this class doesnt, while they have items in the kits they want to buy to make sure you cant beat them, league favors this class so hard that i stopd playing because im sick of it.
a problem with this class is that league is make with pro play and casual in the same patch, the class seems less of a problem when they need to go in and are not tanks so if they enemy team can all attack them when they do they can die, but 99% of games are not like that, and riot does not care, cause this play style is "cool to look at".
in addition to that, riot favors this class so hard its not even funny, take every skill in the game, a slayer has a better version of it while still getting insane levels of mobility for free.

Ok none of you guys actually care about the game design of the game itself, you're just making an excuse because you keep on tilting because of these skill reliant champions, don't act high and noble when you really don't give a shit about it.
Kinda just thought of this but, what if there was an item that capped burst damage. Dingdongs AntisucShield: Unique Passive: If player takes over 500 damage within 2 seconds, damage after that 500 damage all damage from that single attacking champion is reduced by blank amount for that instance of burst etc
Who knows if that'll even be effective or on the flip side, completely broken lol. You could literally just take an item like that any time you're behind and just tank damage thats bursty because of how behind you are lul. It would also only be really effective against assassins, skirmishers would just keep beating you up like it didnt matter lul
What about hard cc?
How does khazix have zero counterplay?? Just pick a heavy CC tank, easy there you go

Ur either silver or u just hate assassins , damn u talk about em like there is no fkn counterplay lol , u just play ezreal with frozer heart and devine sunderer and u cant be killed by any assassin without him by wiped by ur team , without talking about zhonyas and stuffs …
I agree on 1 point that yeah ap assassins are way better cuz they have better items and also , not much counter items besides hexdrinker just a lil bit

Why not death's dance? Also, I don't think that countering a class should be as simple as counter picking or buying an item, it should require some sort of action.

You get the counterplay meaning wrong.
It means that if you have an opening, i have a small window where i can trade and get ahead.
Meaning, if my ability was used in minions for instance, you can punish me for having that ability down.
If i have range and you over step, i can punish you.
But that concept doesnt apply if you come out of stealth and 1 shot me. Or if you make a mistake, but you use a free out of jail card is played, such as akali shroud, gwen w or so. There has to be a happy medium where both have chances to punish. As it is right now, its 1 sided as assassins dont even need the ult to have kill pressure.
A slayer is just an assassin with other name, he has a clear role in fights, kill the squishy, preferably the carry (ies.) then turn back for the rest.
Pure cancer, that's my opinion on this class

I know other champion that's counter is how bad they are
the entire league champion pool except Yuumi, her counter is how bad her teammates are
Vars makes a good point here wheres slayers win condition is locked behind a players skill but what happens when you punish a slayer for making mistakes early to mid until they 0-10 only for them to reach their powerspike … the problem with certain champions in the class is that they are not hard enough to pilot or their kits dont punish you when you made a mistake some of these champs kits have combinations of frontloaded backloaded and sustained dps with healing to a degree where mortal reminder doesn't remind them.as an adc main i feel the rush of outplaying a slayer when they make a mistake but in season 11 with the new items the gap for punishing mistakes has gotten smaller
As a top lane main. The only slayer I hate with a passion is akali. Because she makes no fucking sense what so ever to be outputting the damage she does. She has a slow, she has 2 ways of increasing her ms, she has stealth, she has 1,000 dashes, and an execute. Why tf can she 100 to 0 fighters and tanks when they should be able to tank her burst and punish her engage? I hate that i have to buy hexdrinker on a sett when I want steraks into her or the second she hits 6 I die. Even when piloted by an utter moron she does well because of how much dmg she deals. And its mostly just her base dmg. She can be 2 and 10, still gonna 100 to 0 that tank with 1 combo. I literally pick teemo to annoy tf out of them and make them rage quit. Can she 1 shot teemo, hell yh. But if all I do is play passive, stand on shrooms, and poke her for doing anything. They start making mistakes and get a taste of the frustration they put everyone else through.
Slayers are easy to shut down in a team effort. But that is not applicable for most solo queue games, that's why we don't see slayers as often as other classes in competitive play.
