Apex Legends is a battle royal game in which up to 20 three-man squads land on an island before searching for weapons and supplies to then attempt to defeat all other players in combat. The final team alive wins the round. The game is set in the same sci-fi universe as Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall franchise.

Unlike other prominent battle-royal games, Apex Legends is also similar to “hero shooters”, in that it allows the player to choose from a selection of player characters before each round, each with a unique set of skills. The characters are known as “legends” within the game.[2]

The game focuses heavily on teamwork and includes a much praised system of nonverbal communication, known as “Pinging”, which allows players to use their game controller in order to communicate to their team things like directions, weapon locations, enemies and suggested strategies.[3]

Using the “Ping” command will create an icon (a so-called Ping) to appear at the location where the player is looking which is accompanied by an appropriate voice line from the player’s in-game character. The Ping will be visible to the player as well as their teammates for a short duration. The Ping icon defaults to a “Go” command, which suggests to the squad an area to explore. However, if the player is looking at something specific (such as a weapon or a piece of equipment) then the Ping icon will change contextually to highlight the presence and location of that object.[4]

The Ping command system also has more advanced functionalities, such as tapping the Ping command twice in quick succession to highlight enemies, holding down the Ping command to bring up more detailed options, Pinging when you need ammunition or equipment, context-based Pings which are unique to characters within the game, and being able to respond to or cancel prior Pings.[4]

  1. Im not sure but, in the Pathfinder quest book they didn't really say who revenant really is. It would be Kaleb or Bob.I think rev might be bob because he was more focused on bob while telling the story of both of them. What I'm trying to say here is that it might not be as Easy to know which one revenant is.

  2. My favorite thing is how you genuinely believe your theories are actually good. Like, you have such a skewed perception of the legends and other characters.

Furthermore, your dad theory is shit. That little story he told Path wasn’t accurate. He’s not a reliable narrator. He has been alive as a simulacrum so so so so so so much longer than he was a human. The writers are CLEARLY more interested in exploring how all that time has affected him rather than his human life before all of it. I mean, it’s so much more interesting, creative, inspired, and unique to focus on how 700+ years of being a simulacrum affects one’s mind. We have so many other characters that deal with their childhoods. We DO NOT need that for Rev. It literally ruins him.

I feel like none of y’all understand the point of Rev. Y’all so desperately want his story to be straightforward, simple, and like everything that has ever come before it. You also all seem to want him to be sympathetic. Like, you want a fucking sob story. You want Apex’s version of Joker. But they won’t do that. It’s boring. You may not think so but you are not a writer. You are a fan.

I am not a Revenant main. I’m a Loba main.

  3. It was a pleasure to work on the drawing of Revenant's Dad for you! Your theory is really interesting and I guess would lead to us seeing an even darker side of our Revenant. He's always been an intriguing character to me and I can't wait to see what more they do with him!

  4. I think that he was forced into being a hit man but then after he couldn’t take it anymore and couldn’t keep killing he left and made a family for himself the bob story is told both ways he is bob and Caleb cross just telling the story from bob the assassin is probably someone different in the story he kills the assassin and runs away but is then killed by someone (unknown/redacted) and then was turned into a simulacrum against his own will and was forced to feel bloodlust and crave for flesh and blood like a robot zombie killing whatever he is told to kill he memories are also probably wiped every time he looks at himself and finds out what he is but the reason his memory wasn’t wiped because a shard of glass might have affected the memory wipe chip in his neck which is my theory could be wrong but hey it’s a theory

  5. Wraith did mention each individual is from universes (except pathfinder, his program is consistent) and while shadow revenant sees himself the king of the canyon, while our revenant has no interest to rule. only to kill, torture and die

  6. Do you think the other legend are going to be mean to him like Loba is going to say "did you kill my dad cause you are jealous you didn't had one that care about you?"
Or Pathfinder saying "i'll be a better father than yours"
Or Wattson saying "My papa is dead but he loved me at least"

  7. My opinion on how the apex legend game work in the titanfall universe :
The game make biological replica of the legends . With the same characteristics of the original.
In the character selection rampart says "if i ever get taken out it better be with a rampart"

  8. i like the theory and i feel like it kinda ties nicely into his character tho it does raises a question as to whether or not they are going to red-con parts of his story.. 'cause originally "he needed a reason to kill, but now he is not that man anymore".. meaning it was a job, not that he was a sociopath.. seems like they changed that part of his story (or maybe i just didnt realize they changed it some time ago) dont mind the change, tho.

on another note, i wish they would stop using him as kinda a plot device in loba's ridiculous love-triangle (probably a more personal thing as i find all 3 of them boring af and dont play any of 'em unless a weekly forces me to) and just flesh him more out and make him a bit more nuanced in and out of himself.. Do i want him "redeemed" like some people do? – FUDGE NO!! i like my surly murder-boi the way he is, thank you very much.. it's an overused boring trope (bad guy turns good) that needs to go away. An evil character can still be evil, while being more nuanced and fleshed out.. I'd personally prefer him to remain a "reluctant ally" than friends with any of them, while evolving enough as a character to acknowledge that having allies can be a good and useful thing.

  9. I used to think Revenant was just a cold-hearted killer that can never feel much empathy. Now, I'm starting to think the whole reason why he became a hitman and a terrible person is all his father's fault. I'm starting to think there may be hope for Revenant, and that he might be able to change if the scars of his past are healed by someone. First, however, we need to get someone, a legend or background character that actually cares about Revenant or at least takes the time to know Revenant. However, I doubt Rev will tell the story of his father to anyone. If they pester him about it, he might just kill them. I hope Rev can fifure something out, though
