Is This Ruining League of Legends?

We need to talk to you about League’s Chemtech dragons because they’re a mess right now.

Sometimes things in games are ‘broken’ because they’re overpowered, sometimes they’re broken because they simply don’t work — well, amazingly — Chemtech dragons are somehow both types of broken.

They’re broken — and they’re broken — and Riot only has a few weeks to fix them before the competitive season starts…

  1. since its already broken, let break it more. chem soul should just be an additional active skill that when pressed, will add true damage per attack but in return, your movement will be on "chaos". "chaos" right click right but you'll go left and vise versa. to target enemy, you'll need to attack yourself but it will prioritize the nearest.

  2. I genuinely feel like everyone making excuses for riot rn are just on copium. Game was shit last year. Nobody asked for item changes, yet we were hyped for the idea it presented: more build variety. Yet we did not get that, quite the opposite actually. Balance was a nightmare, but season 12 could somewhat redeem it. But they shit the bed again. League is genuinely an unfun game to play, and I dare you to record yourself while you play and seebif that is the face of someone having a good time.

  3. I have 3 requests Riot.
    1. Bring back old Aatrox;
    2. Bring back old Aurelion Sol; and
    3. Please for the love of God, stop trying to create these new and crazy things (items, map, champions) that inevitably ruins the game. I love this game so much but Season 11 really took a toll on me. On top of that, you create more of these. Can you please slow down on the new champion creation and try to update your other old champions that desperately need an art and model change, skill change, etc.? Please listen to the community like you have in the past.

  4. League pisses me off right now, I've been a regular player for 6 years and I have the feeling I don't have anymore impacts on any of my games because of some points like Chem tech, some healing champ, some one shot some tanks…

  5. the fog IMO will actually force teams to try to play agrro in the enemy side when behind. That might make pro play less passive than previous seasons. Also the ressurect thing didnt make Akshan a top pick in challenger… it might need patching, but broken? Doens't feel broken in my games.

  7. I hate that Riot did so many changes based around arcane. It was a good fking show, but there's no need for this. There's no need to make two new drakes based on Piltover and Zaun just because Arcane came out. Chemdrake just feels dirty. I do like the hextech portals though. That is fun

  8. It is so annoying that riot, every fucking year goes "alright 12 months in a year, let's have 9,5-10 of them mean something, and then just pure fucking anarchy for the rest" instead of just being consistently good year round. None of my mates, nor myself, liked the item reworks, since they have in our opinions been net negative for the expierience of the game. Now they double down on it, and with even more bullshit added in. League is so unfun right now, really not enjoyable at all

  9. Riot games:
    – Christmas event ? Nah, not worth and we'll never bring it back. Don't ask again.
    – lgbt event ? Oh, good idea ! Let's do that every year and you are now employee of the year.

  10. Hot take time: the chemtech map is nowhere near as favored towards the winning side as everyone has made it out to be. Let me explain…
What is it about a winning team that allows them to keep constant pressure over the game? The ability to leave free ward vision in the enemy jungles and track the enemy team constantly without using ally numbers to defend them, allowing for constant map play that can snowball into a victory. However, this chemtech map makes that much harder for the winning side to enforce: wards dropped are pink wards instead of trinket or support wards, making vision dropped on the opposing side easier for them to clear or avoid altogether. In this way, a losing team can sneak around the map and potentially enter jungles much easier, as long as they use numbers and their own vision to push into the jungle of choice.
This threat of the stronger team sitting in the enemy jungle to wait for a pick and starve out the weaker side is a strategy, but that would involve sending a large part of the team (potential 3 or 4 members to be safe) to spend a large amount of time in a jungle with little resources to take. If this is the case, the losing side can instead ignore the jungles and focus on controlling the minion waves, forcing the winning side to play reactive to wave control and leave the camouflage in the jungles in order to progress their lead.
For these reasons, there is simply very interesting and productive strategy surrounding this new map type. I believe the real problem everyone is worried about is not knowing what to do about it from the weak side. This will get realized more and more over time, as has figuring out other major LoL changes as well.
