Believe it or not, roaming Yuumi is actually a really viable strategy if you can pull it off. You basically go around lanes, helping the early game laners push and give the late game ones more safety to reach their power spike. It is extremely strong when played correctly, however you need to have good coordination, to know which laner needs you the most at a certain point and you need good map awareness, because when changing lanes, Yuumi is really vulnerable to the enemy jungler, thus a good jungler of your own is needed to keep Yuumi safe while transferring.
As a proud Yuumi main, I can confirm this is true.

As another Yuumi main, I rotate out when i need to, sometimes with a very specific duo, I get them hyperfed and use unsealed spellbook to rotate to another lane or take smite to help the jungler! Other times i stick with them until someone asks me to come with or my adc wants to solo farm.
It seems some people are confused about this. There are 3 simple reasons why all yuumi players do this.
1st Tanks and bruiser don't die in 3 hits. yuumi practically makes tank immortal by healing them constantly.
2nd Tanks stay close to the enemy which is a must for yuumi ultimate.

3rd Yuumi gives them a damaged Buff turning them into heavy hitters.
