  1. They cannot make theme park mmorpgs anymore. We need sandbox! Its required. World of Warcraft MASTERED the theme-park…. that's why it was such a huge hit. It took all the theme park elements from many games and made the best theme park to ever exist. That's why it was a huge hit. It was streamlined, easy to pick up, easy to understand, easy to play. Even Asmon in other videos talks about how Blizzard stole elements from other games and made them better…. Multiple roller coaster rides, from start to finish. nothing more nothing less. No MMORPG is ever going to beat the streamlined theme park that Blizzard had developed. It's impossible. Once something has been mastered, you can't improve upon it. It's why each WoW expansions essentially ruined the game over time. Because you can't improve upon a masterpiece…. On the flip side, Sandbox has NEVER been mastered. It just hasn't. There hasn't been a single "master" edition sandbox mmorpg. It doesn't exist. YES sandbox mmorpgs exist, but they aren't the best games games. Each game has multiple flaws to the point that it ruins the game as a whole. Which is why they are more niche than mainstream. If we are going to move on and improve the genre, open world sandbox is the next step. Living worlds with a proper AI systems with actual intelligent AI. Living story boards that can change based on player interaction. The future is an mmorpg that is way more "alive" than any MMORPG has ever been. That is the future. IF that isn't their goal, then their game will fail. And by fail I mean won't ever pull the player count that it should. NEW WORLD. Everyone at the beginning bragged how good it was. LOOK AT IT NOW. Barely 100k player (less than actually). Meanwhile STEAM has MULTIPLE MILLIONS of users, and yet they can't even peg 1 million player for new world…. turn around and look at other games as well, many of them not getting anywhere near 1 million players. Games today are NOT as popular as the developers claim them to be. But they keep lying that they are the best game since sliced bread and its just not true.

  2. As someone that dislikes League of Legends' gameplay but appreciates the art, lore and characters, i'd say LoL would make a fine MMORPG. If done right.

Let me play as the rat guy from Arcane and we're solid.

  3. i think the fact that riot has dominated two of the biggest sectors in games and are working on 2 other sectors shows how good a company riot is, LoL is massive compared to every other moba and Valorant has taken over competitive shooters completely. I'd love to see what they do with an MMO.

  4. It sounds like WoW. Cartoon graphics and themepark MMO.

Might actually turn out to be a great game.

I would be even cooler if they also bring it to mobile. And if 2026 or later is the goal, it's gonna run on most phones. I mean I have a 230€ phone from 2020 that can run Genshin Impact and Black Desert Online, so it is possible even now.

  5. i mean, if i can just roam piltover and different lands of runterra with my own character and be immersed in the lore with great graphics, i'm already giving it top marks , it's a franchise with such a storied history that just manifesting that into an experience would be enticing for a LARGE player base.

  6. I'm so happy that Riot is taking their time with this. They've proven that they know how to improve on an already existing formular, and as long as they gather the right people and give them the time they need, this could turn out incredibly well!
I had a damn good time with League for several years, right up until I couldn't keep up with the other players anymore xD
I also really enjoy Legends Of Runeterra and Valorant.
    I'm hyped for this one!

  7. Thanks again for watching my very badly made video lol.

I will say, 2026 is a very optimistic view for release. Also, many think I am all in on this MMO. I'm not actually. I'm more on the Ashes hype train, but TBH I am keeping my options open with the Riot MMO and a few others since so many MMOs fail.

  8. I've been saying this for a while, but if Riot even puts real efforts and passion into making their game, there won't be any reason to play any other MMORPGs ever. I'm kind of worried about the "casual friendly" part. Guild Wars 2 proved that no matter how good your game is, the casual friendly formula doesn't work. Of course, the story would be very different if they manage to make a game that is casual friendly so it's easy to get into it and you don't need to grind like a madman 365 days per year but also appealing for the more hardcore players with supported endgame content with high skill ceiling… well then you have the perfect game

  9. Won’t be long time waiting, this program was started in late 2020, til now it has already take near 2 years time to develop, I think they will probably show us what this game looks like in late time this year and in the end of next year there will be alpha test.
