That's the biggest issue with them deciding not to just include this as an update to the original mod. It just makes no sense for them to have separated them

with your monika theory, there isnt any way she could or would do that.
the mod is based on act 4, after you delete monika, and she had a change of heart. she also couldnt even access the game, as shown in the first cutscene
