As a Drow you should be able to choose Loth as your Clerics God and get the option to invite the spider into your camp if you free it^^

At first i was like "Why tricking the spider into thinking that u r Lolth is a Persuasion check (and not Deception) and with pretty high DC?"…and then i saw the failed outcome and realized that the one you actually have a Persuasion check against is a eavesdropping Lolth herself 😀

I need help with whether or not pick seldarine or lolth drow.
My drow in my home game secretly idolizes what little he knows of drow culture but was born the surface.
Without too many spoilers (I'm playing the EA, but I want my drow to be my "canon" playthrough for the final release of the game), can I get recommended which type of drow to choose? Should it be the lolth drow because that reflects his true allegiance? Or should it be the seldarine drow because then he will be treated like someone who lives on the surface and is trying to fit in?
If there was access from above, why doesnt the spider just crawl out of there?

I dont know much about the lore but why wouldnt a spider help out a Lolth-sworn drow? Dont they both "work" for Lolth?
