Boyfriend takes Girlfriend on a trip to the mysterious floating island in the sky, courtesy of dear ol’ Daddy Dearest. They then meet up with Quote (Male Robot) and Curly Brace (Female Robot) and end up rap-battling them. It doesn’t look so good cause in the 2nd phase Quote whips out his weapon and tries to destroy BF. Will BF & GF survive or end up losing?

Quote, also known as Mr. Traveler in most NICALiS ports, is the main protagonist of Cave Story and the character the player can control. His name is spoken only once in the normal game, by Curly Brace after feeding her the Ma Pignon mushroom,
Curly Brace is the deuteragonist of Cave Story, who was also the game’s third boss. She, like Quote, is a soldier robot who was sent to the Island to destroy the dark power hidden there

This mod brings back so many memories from playing Cave Story for the first time on my DSi, to playing it whenever I can on the PC now. It is really great that an FNF mod was made of it.

If the Spacebar miss only takes off 5 HP then I think it's gonna be used a LOT in the future xD If y'all don't remember there's a LOT of projectiles in Cave Story, I wouldn't be surprised if you had to press Spacebar like 300+ times in a single Song depending on how long the Song is xD A very fair mechanic all things considered though 😛
The nostalgia. I remember playing that game on the Wii but I could only ever play the demo. Fell in love at first sight. Finally got to play it dor myself when I got older.
Man level 3 Kings blade and it only did 5 damage… I understand it but jeez imagine how bad it could have been if BF took damage for the consecutive strikes
