the beast real name is oliver and the dude beside him is his brakevan named toad, oliver and toad were kidnapped in the sodor fallout AU and while the beast came from oliver, toad was used to observe the beast. the song "boiler test" was based on a real life event when the strasburg railroad converted a 0-6-0 shunter to be thomas after britt allcroft gave them the green light during a boiler test (as the engine prior to it's rebuild was sitting around) the heat from the smokebox AKA the black part where the face is, got hot enough to melt the eyes luckily it was never seen by the public and was quickly fixed. the dialogue said when the eyes began to melt was " drop the fire! drop the fire!, the eyes are melting drop the fire!"
