Halo Infinite Will Be Cyberpunk 2.0 Unless THIS Changes

Halo Infinite and cyberpunk 2077 are in many ways alike, so what can 343 learn from Cyberpunk 2077’s catastrophic launch? Is Halo Infinite headed the same direction.

You only get one chance to get the launch right.

  1. This doesn’t seem very thought through, 343i delayed it a year instead of just a few months. 343i has a specific goal in mind, unlike cyberpunk which had some sort of a identity crisis.

  2. 8:18 No, I don't agree that's basically like Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360 it doesn't have a story mode but the Xbox One did have a Story mode which was very bad for the people that didn't want or couldn't afford the Xbox One when it was literally a rip off.
    $800 😑

  3. I personally don’t have the money to upgrade and I don’t think I will in a year either. From experience, this is also the case of many, many other people. I’ve been waiting for this game just as long as you have and poured my heart and soul into this series. There are so many other remedies to this problem than denying half the player base the chance to play the game. For example, graphics options. It happens on PC, where different people have different devices with different capabilities. If Minecraft could only run at the most up to date graphics settings (and this is including RTX because it’s still a major update to the game’s graphics), the vast majority of devices couldn’t run it. Another solution is to make the game check which device it is being downloaded on (every time it is downloaded onto a device, not just the first time the license is used) and decide which files to download accordingly. That way, those playing on new-gen will get top level graphics, and those playing on last-gen will get something that still looks incredible (have you seen Halo 5 Sanghelios?!) and that their devices can still run. It also means when upgrading, they don’t have to buy a whole new version of the game. Assuming top-end graphics are being made, this is a relatively easy option, as downgrading graphics is much easier than upgrading them.

  4. Stop blaming Management, jeez.. Upper management gave those incompetent devs 8 fucking years and $300 million, GTA 5 was made with less, Red Dead 2 was made with less.. it's The development team, they got complacent, they peaked with Witcher 3, now they're just another Bioware..

  5. Halo will never be in the same boat as CyberShit.. Sorry, I have played every Halo on opening day Halo 1, 2 & 3, ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4, & 5 and sorry they all never had the any of the issues regarding how bad Cyberpunk is… FYI E3 Halo Infinite graphics aren't everything..

  6. Think you need to include the shortages of the series consoles to. Some of us are trying to buy one but have been stumped the past 3 months. I think if they have the ability which I believe they do. To go ahead and push it on last gen as well. You have to take into account that a console like the One X is very powerful.

  7. The way Cyberpunk was handled has pretty much guaranteed that I'll never hype up a game ever again. The hype train is more likely to derail at some point than not, so I'd rather not hop aboard. I'll walk to the station.

  8. The end of the Halo games is nigh.

The Anniversary Games although greatly appreciated, ruined the ancient and mysterious atmosphere of the foreigners and their creations.

Halo 4 was the unwanted reboot of the Halo universe.

The art style was butchered, iconic weapons replaced, and sprint was added as a permanent feature.

Halo 4 had a sub-par campaign and an unbalanced multiplayer.

Halo 4 ruined elites and remove them as playable forever.

Halo 5 was shrouded in lies.

Halo 5 try to remove what little remained of the original Halo art style.

Halo 5 release with a terrible campaign and a pay to win multiplayer mode.

And worst of all removed split-screen co-op.

The Halo Infinite gameplay reveal trailer showed us the ugly truth about the incomplete state it was in.

In addition, the long-awaited dual wielding and playable elites will most likely not be returning in Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite has also forbidden us from picking our own colour schemes outside of their pre-made patterns which will most likely be locked behind microtransactions.

And, 343 Industries plans to unleash their abominations upon the Halo 3 community on the Master Chief Collection, alienating us from a game we treasure.

I wish Halo infinite was a true reboot, making the two games that should never have been made officially non-canon.

I believe this would save the Halo games.

These are not the games I fell in love with, nor will I ever see them as canon in the Halo story.

And, before someone tries to convince me otherwise, no that we might never truly see eye to eye on this matter.

To me, the story started with Halo combat Evolved and ended with Halo 3.

  9. Halo is not the hardest game to develope, it’s actually one of the easiest. People are just ignorant to Halo’s game design formula-even 343i dont know about it or ignore it, which I think it’s the latter.

  10. Listen man, I understand why you say these things but I have to say I disagree with lowering our expectations. If we were to lower our expectations it would ultimately lower our standards and they would just keep pulling the crappy business practices and screwing that 343 are known for with the last 2 entries to the series. I don't know about you but it's not unreasonable for fans to expect features in a new Halo game that the older Halo games had at launch, I would rather have the game be delayed again and keep on waiting for the finished and full game instead of having an unfinished game due to some deadline imposed by the developer's corporate masters. Does Halo 5's multiplayer playlists, theater, or forge mean anything to you? In summary, we shouldn't encourage the idea of being fine with receiving an unfinished product for any reason.

  11. I feel gaming has been plagued with gear nuts having too high standards for way too long. They're the loud annoying minority but they have managed to convince so many that a game is only good if it can run on NASA-worthy computers. Make it run good at 720p and 1080p at 60fps and the average joe would be happy, and so would most people who play video games. Only competitive gamers, certain streamers and tech nuts give a damn if it runs smooth as butter at 16K 400fps or not. I doubt the majority of the population have 4K screens in the first place or devices powerful enough to run at 120fps or whatever is the current highest standard. Fair enough video games have become very complex, but if every big game has a two year period after launch where it just sucks until it's getting gradually patched then maybe make less ambitious games! The world and the technology is literally not ready yet!
