I'm glad the true Zhongli fans won out in the end and got him a buff. All these idiots saying people are just "hating and u just dont kno how to use him" were holding him back. The fact is he was shit on out of love so he could become the archon he deserved but instead we have people blindly following out of touch whales saying he was good and even OP. Fuck tectone.

power creep? He's the weakest 5 star character in the game lol. Not only that he loses easily to most 4 star supports as well in viability. (bennet, noelle etc) If you ask me his entire kit should have been reworked. Moving some stats around isn't going to fix how underwhelming he feels to play. Especially with only 1 pillar at C0 which is just an absolute slap in the face. He should have had 2 at C0 and another one at C1.
People are just saying that because they didn't get the chance to get zhongli at his worst
I heard that some of the beta tester said that they're still not satisfied with the buff either. I don't think his buff will change alot but at least he is viable as *5
The 20% phys/element debuff is cool tho

Generic answer: Venti. So it is a sidegrade to the current creep.
Nothing wrong with a 5* character who can do a little bit everything and lacks doing one thing very well, which the buffs will just make him do that better. zhong’s shield is the strongest right now though… PvE game, so I get to play what I like, and as long as I can clear content and all floors of spiral abyss with 9* each floor with Zhongli carrying me, I’m happy 🙂
only the ppl who got pwned by mihoyo is claiming powercreep to get the last word in. specifically asianguy and tectone (i think tectone learned to shut up tho, unless i missed a video of his). but most importantly, the company is known for powercreep, so it's a sly move to blame the player base in advance for when the company decides to power creep in the future, just cause they are too prideful to admit they were wrong about zhongli.
People just want all *5s as DPSes
So basically anytime the “archon” characters are on banner just pull for them cause theyre gonna be broken

To those F2Ps who keep forcing DPS zhongli even with the upcoming buffs which are intended for him to become a BETTER SUPPORT he is meant to be, this is your ultimatum.
As he said, if you really really really like zhongli that much that you want to force him into a role that he's not meant to be in (DPS), then thats fine, but don't complain about him not contributing that much when he was never intended to be built as a dps.
Its funny how fast they were to state that he was completely fine as a character and then decide to strongly buff him later after realizing they were completely wrong.

Its power creep cause he's not suppose to be a damage dealer. The developers are bending over backwards to appease everyone who complained that his autos don't do much. He's suppose to be a support and mihoyo proves they can't handle feedback about a character. Mihoyo already said zhongli was suppose to be a support but the community still didn't care. It seems that everyone just wants every character to be damage.

People who claim that Zhongli stuff is powercreep are just jumping the gun and I and many other people dislike it. Im sure most of everyone can agree that the Zhongli buffs arent fucking insane. Like "1.36% of Max HP being damage is definitely gonna break the character lol." It aint that deep lmao. Plenty other supports deal a similar amount of damage if you put enough resources in the right place.
But I can say that it is INDICATIVE of possible powercreep. I have faith in Mihoyo that they can stop that from happening, but I see the concern, but this aint it. Not yet.

Now buff his energy recharge rate. My suggestion is when his shield is up it could generate energy every 2 or 3 seconds.

I agree with 99% of what you said, but the only thing that bugged me a little is the point that will they make another Venti or Diluc. I mean yeah I can see it 100%, like if people already whale on Diluc and Venti, they are going to whale on a better version of them, not to say they will become obsolete. Just that if they already have a choice on who to whale on they will probably pick the stronger version. So whaling is gonna be just as severe if not even more so because they are stronger. Dawg zhonglis numbers in testing blow klee/ childe vaporize combos in terms of dps, you obviously don't know how good the buffs are. And I have him, I'm only benefiting but if you don't think power creep is a thing cause there isn't another exact character to match them to makes 0 sense
what brings zhongli a real god is having a element reaction. but sadly no for geo.

Change your mind? Literally every other Mihoyo game which has powecreep….they aren't new to powecreep at all lol.
In one buff they've made Zhongli the best shredder in the game. Best shield. Longest lasting shield. Gave his E two mechanics which lesson cool down. No interruption, buffed his shield to reduce all physical and elemental damage. An his CC petrifies world bosses apparently now an they're extending petrify duration..his cc beats out Venti for he can petrify EVERYTHING in the game. Venti is worthless for big enemies an world bosses. He beats out a entire VV set that Venti needs to shred…an that's just a shield passive THAT STACKS.
Also, there were leaks of beta testers saying Zhongli is puting out more damage than Childe now…the second best dps in the game…
So saying this isn't a power creep when it's turning into him being the best an only all rounder in the game as best tank an top tier dps is ridiculous. An he heals already lol. How can you not see the the tone it's setting for a 4 month old game…
legit cannot understand why people worry about powercreep in a GACHA GAME with not much multiplayer factor involved in the first place. In games like this, there will always be characters that are stronger than the others. Look at HI3, FGO, Grand Cross, Dokkan. There are bunch of OP characters that can clear many contents easily. Yikes, this community is just a bunch of cry babies and it is so toxic, honestly. Most of them dont know shit about gacha games. This game is not even hardcore compared to other gacha games. So the most important thing when you play Genshin is your enjoyment, playing with characters that you like their playstyles, their aesthetics… are what matter the most
