Zahndrekh is a Necron Overlord and Nemesor of the Sautekh Dynasty who was once counted amongst the greatest generals of the lost Necrontyr empire. It was through his campaigns of conquest that his Tomb World of Gidrim rose from a small and insignificant planet on the fringes of the galaxy to become the iron-handed ruler of a dozen star systems.

Even now, though Gidrim has been subsumed as a crownworld of the larger Sautekh Dynasty, Zahndrekh is numbered amongst the mightiest of its heroes.

It is a reputation well deserved, for Gidrim is one of the more expansionist of the recently awoken crownworlds of Sautekh, and Zahndrekh’s undying armies are an ever-present peril of the Milky Way Galaxy’s Eastern Fringe.

  2. Dont worry guys we had an awesome ruler for our necron but games workshop seem to put the worst writers they had on the job and managed to ruin one of the most interesting xeno leaders out there he went from a noble hyper intellectual God slaying king who decided to set his people free from his command protocol and go into exile to try attone for the mistake he made only to come across the true tyrannids horde after realising they would strip all life from his galaxy dooming his races final hope to return to flesh and racing back and beginning his plan that only a being of his intellectual level and age could hope to see he helps bolster the other races and works with the Blood Angels to save Baal and is already gone and on to his next move before dante even realises that he had been used all this amazing work and now thanks to Saturday morning cartoon writers in indomitus we have a crazy paranoid megalomaniac who wants to rule everything yet willingly gave up this exact thing and is hated by his people who suffer under his authority…. honestly butchered a great character they will no doubt ruin these guys too

  3. Can't wait for both the Trazyn and the Imotekh Video
The two are great contrasts to this guy, here we had Alzheimer's necron lord, now let's talk about necrons kleptomaniac and necron Warmonger!

  4. You'd be suprised how many Necrons are actually hospitable to other races. They all believe themselves superior of course, but some tomb worlds will just say "fuck it, hey kids wanna trade shit?"

  5. I never cared for Necrons until I got the Indomitus Box and I thought I could look into them a bit. Of course I found Trazyn, that awesome dick, first but I stopped there. Thanks to you guys I found out how interesting the Necrons actually are!

  6. First, amazing series guys! Am super happy to finally have someone talk me through the lore in the least dry way possible while appreciating the absurdity and allegory of it all. Second, am chuffed to hear that 40K somehow has its own robotic Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Or at least the thing of the bumbling boss and the competent sidekick (I'm thinking of Futurama's Zapp Branigan and Kif; Inspector Clouseau and his sidekick in any of the Pink Panther stuff)

  7. Actually something that recently came out is that Zandrekh actually has episodes, and slinks back into reality. He prefers to stay in the past, play the fool, and enjoy immortal conquests
