I live in California and I was able to secure a order of a ps5 digital edition bundle from gamestop on the January 7th restock i payed $630 for the bundle of course I then added the 2 year insurance for a extra $50 rounding up my total to $680 at least I got stuff with the bundle rather than paying more on ebay for just the console and if you are wondering my payment went through 2 days ago along with the confirmation email of my order i think that it is wrong for them to raise the prices bundles are one thing but the price for the base console is something different

Once he leaves this month, all we need to remove the tariffs is as quick and simple as Biden reversing what Trump did with an executive order. No need for Congress to write any law on it. Sony is doing this wrong, PS5 should have had a high mark upon release, as stock is eventually increased, the price should have come down to what it is now.
Tariffs will not change the cost of the Ps5. Sony is well aware of what gamers are willing to pay for consoles. They learned this lesson the hard way with PS3. They will eat the cost. However you may not see a price drops after a couple years from now like you ordinarily would with consoles to regain the loss.

I think by selling it bundles, scalpers have less leverage. It makes sense. A person would pay $700 to get a ps5 with other stuff in it. But scalpers buying those bundles would have a hard time selling it.
I copped 2 from gamefly and newegg. Both bundles. I’m happy to buy that than pay someone more money for less value. ie $700 for just a console.
