  1. There are some who think that pierce your soul glare he gives at the end was the moment he decided that he was going to kill himself. Still gives me goosebumps every time I watch this performance after all these years

  3. should have listened to one of their actual songs before doing this one. This song isn't their own nor is it representative of their music. At least do "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
for your first time hearing Nirvana

  4. Dear Shiloh, Kurt Cobain, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden we're part of a scene call grunge. Lane Staley and the Stone Temple Pilot's lead singer Scott Weiland we're also from the same era. although the Stone Temple Pilots music was more in today's terms hard driving rock with some elements of grunge. I love all these lead singers, but with the exception of Eddie Vedder, all of them have passed away. Could you please consider doing Scott Weiland's song when he was with Stone Temple Pilots called cracker rman or Vaseline? Please?!!! I love the hard driving music. With respect always and wishing you all the best in 2021. Brant Heavner 😊😊😍

  5. This video is from their legendary "Unplugged In New York" session, where half the setlist is covers of other songs. If you want to go down the Nirvana rabbit hole, start with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and then use Wikipedia to track the singles by release date; that way you experience them as we did. Now the albums are great overall ( Bleach tends to have love/hate relationship with the fans) but use the single list as your base guide and then pick and choose as you will. I'll throw my personal recommendation for "tourette's" because most people skip over that one because it's kind of a nonsense song but…it fucking slaps (as the kids say these days).

I will say this though: "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" is probably the best song to end your Nirvana tour because…well, Jesus, listen to it. Kurt himself said he couldn't do an encore because he couldn't top that song.

  6. Yes – my teenage obession.
This is a fine performance from a great set but it's a cover so doesn't represent Nirvana.
    Shortlist to consider –
    Heart-Shaped Box
    Breed
    Smells Like Teen Spirit
    Lithium
    Drain You
    Scentless Apprentice
    Aneurysm

  7. The voice of grunge. And that entire album is of that caliber. You could also check out Alice in Chains for another voice of the times or Soundgarden. There was a surge of talent at that time.

  8. It's so funny watching a new person reacting to a song like this compared to what they're used to, it's the not being able to find a head Bob rhythm that gets me lol. Especially with Tool. Love nirvana, this song won't pull you in I don't think, as much as there poppier songs are. I hope this doesn't turn you off from hearing more from them. I promise you Nirvana will blow your mind if you dive in, I could list a thousand other bands as well but you gotta start somewhere. But good for you for getting into some older music. Great reaction, loved it. Subbed!!

  9. His voice was GOLD, the distorted or vibrated sound came from his lung.. this technique is very difficult.. Shame he's gone forever but his legacy will still remain forever RIP Kurdt
