Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access is almost upon us, today let’s take a good hard look at the Warlock and the Patrons available and get prepared for this class in BG3 .. We’ll talk everything we can dig up from Dungeons & Dragons on the Warlock for levels 1 through 4 so you can plan out your Warlock before Early Access hits. I hope you enjoy!

Baldur’s Gate III is a role-playing video game that looks to offer both a single-player and cooperative multiplayer element. Players will be able to create one or more characters and form a party along with computer-generated characters to explore the game’s story. Optionally, players will be able to take one of their characters and team up online with other players to form a party. It was announced during the PAX East 2020 event that, unlike the previous Baldur’s Gate games, Baldur’s Gate III combat will be turn-based, similar to Larian’s Original Sin games

Baldur’s Gate III is an upcoming role-playing video game that is being developed and published by Larian Studios. It is set to be released for Microsoft Windows and the Stadia streaming service in early access in September 2020. It is the third main game in the Baldur’s Gate series, itself based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system

  1. I watched this and this seems to just be a >>>> Reading Random PHB things with a BG3 clickbait title <<<<<. THIS IS NOT AN EARLY ACCESS GUIDE!!
Please remove clickbait if you're going to make a PHB reading for pre-access hype (since this video came out before Early Access and you clearly didn't get an early-early access to put out relevant info)
Baldur's Gate 3 is essentially a homebrewed version of D&D 5e. Mage Hand does not require an action to manipulate, it can attack, it can take attacks of opportunity. Reading the PHB is misleading.
The Knockback on Eldritch Blast is sometimes very powerful to trigger fall damage, but BG3 has big disadvantages for attacking uphill (many good knockback opportunities are uphill) so that somewhat makes it less good than it could've been or more powerful if you want the Warlock to try to cash out on these enemies – depends on your philosophy.
BG3 ALSO has rules for attacking targets in shadows. If you're a Human Warlock cough or anything else with bad sight then Devil's Sight could be useful (I haven't tested this) to bypass this reduction. Also, due to other BG3 mechanics I've found spells such as Darkness and Invisibility to be rather useful if you play to their niche.

Currently, Pact of the Chain is the only one currently available and OMG is it good. Due to the Jump/Fly/Disengage BG3 mechanic, Imps are ridiculously mobile damagers and the AI very often ignores them.
