The spider queen battle was peak DnD. Loved it.
The hide bonus action is your best friend for alot of these battles. I was able to beat the minotaurs on the second try by keeping my party in stealth and setting up an ambush.

Somehow you managed to miss out on all the dialog from the owlbear and dog. That's just poor Internet promotion. Shadowheart was probably pissed because you put all those crates on her bed. The phase spider matriarch and the Underdark are really for early access endgame. You would probably be better served just finishing some more of the main quest first.

To tom's comment towards the end, I'm pretty sure they're treating monster level as Challenge Rating. The minotaurs are level 4, and thus CR4, each.
