It was an important win having seen plenty of sides around us drop points this weekend despite being a poor game. Similar tactics from both sides impacted the wing-backs and it showed. Mason Mount and Timo Werner were the outstanding players for Chelsea with Mount and Jorginho the goalscorers. Disappointing to concede the own goal with a complete lack of communication between Toni Rudiger and Edouard Mendy – not the first time Mendy has made the same error by the way! Chelsea ground out the win and now sit fifth in the Premier League table just a single point behind Liverpool.
