my Skyrim save on my PS3 got at some point to big to scrash the game, but it was nearly reaching a gigabyte, not lame as 8MB
minor glitches don’t really matter when your pc can’t even run the game
Before reporting you should see how many things you actually need to accumulate in order to get the file to 8mb. It's not like you just play and the file goes over 8mb. The guy on reddit was exploiting an item duplication glitch.
You will not corrupt your save by just crafting items. You would have to graft every item in the game thousands of time in order to corrupt your save.
It is so rushed, they should have worked on it more and dropped it in 2077. as they said they would.

Atleast this is a good lesson for people to not overhype games/demand an early release
As much as they lied, they were kinda forced to release it. If they had just waited another month or two, the game would run way better on old gen, and they wouldn't be giving refunds to millions of people.

For the corrupt save thing, I tested it for myself, and it is indeed true. on a file with everything done (all main and side quests, all ncpd alerts) the number I got was 1493. It's not scientific, but maybe it'll help somebody idk.
I'm afraid the corrupted saves are unrecoverable because of technical limitations. That there is such a limit is of course simply inexcusable.
