  1. People have NO IDEA how complex coding one of these products are. And people have NO IDEA of how often and how hard programmers are pushed to meet unrealistic deadlines. People have NO IDEA that even seasoned programmers often underestimate the amount of coding time needed, and that is communicated to project managers that drive those dates. People probably do have some idea that a company like CD PROJEKT RED maybe under an immense amount of pressure because of a CONTRACT or because of some approaching MAJOR EVENT like, I don't know, CHRISTMAS. That said. Should they have released the software to console? Probably not. Is it fraud? Probably not. Is it management buckling to the pressures of getting something out the door to meet a CONTRACTUAL and CULTURAL DEADLINE? That would be my bet. This project was EPIC in scale, and I think we were all pretty amazed with this BETA. I for one, can't wait to play it in a year or so when it's fully baked. 😉

  2. Many companies release a game first on consoles and then you only see in PC after months or even a year, they could just release for PC first and then release a console version in the coming months

  3. As a owner of a PS4 and one of the fools who preordered it months ago I had a front row seat in this historical disaster. So they didnl lie when they claimed a experience like no other before.

  4. This reminds me of the Borderlands 3 release. Hopefully there will be legal implications because these game producers need to stop releasing half backed products. When we fork over $70 for a game we don't expect to have a beta product.

  5. It would have been ez to add an 3rd person view to the game code…hell even in most low budget games you can change POV…its not like its too much lines of code, but lots of potential gamers that wont buy because of it…

  6. ELI CAN I ASK YOU THIS???

IS IT CDPR'S FAULT THAT SONY AND MICROSOFT DECIDED TO RELEASE PS4 PRO AND XBOX ONE X, INSTEAD JUST NAMING THEM THE PS5 AND XBOX (X) YEARS AGO???

4 years of hardware difference in each console??? WTF KINDA IDEA WAS THAT?

PEOPLE KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN BACK WHEN THE PRO AND ONE X WERE RELEASED???

THINK ABOUT IT MAN, Came back to bite them in the ass

And they wanna put the blame onto CDPR???

  7. Game is good. Unfinished, messy, glitchy, plain broken but still with its soul intact. Hella fun. Playing on vanilla PS4. All y'all need to choose now: Do I want my games to be just well-made and fun or do I want to be forever enslaved by people with promises of a better tomorrow that will never come because the technology they peddle serves a purpose that lives in the R&D department of another castle?

  9. I love how random these videos are now. Cyberpunk, side offers of COVID vaccine, Bitcoin…
Hey, Eli – how about a couple of videos on Palo Alto firewall automation with API using Python? Just an idea 😉

  10. Sony (at least in not so distant past) had a very scrupulous approach to testing the games which are released on its consoles (testing done internally by Sony). There were requirements such as stable 30 FPS and drops below that were not allowed to last more than a couple seconds. So this action of theirs looks a little hypocritical; they were certainly well aware of what they are releasing on their PS4.
