  1. About gear fear and frustration:
    – when it comes to vests you need to think straight – buy what is needed, not what is always the best/the most expensive. If you wanna do money run, simply use 6B5-16 . If you want to be semi meta – buy korund or 6B13. No need to use slick with one-headshot mechanics.
    – helmet – not always needed.
    – headphones – use GSSh only (ComTac's are bugged and sometimes you don't hear someone running straight at you). They are cheap and works great. Use direct audio in your sound card is more important, DO NOT USE SURROUND, 3D etc.!
    – backpack – only pilgrim to make your looting more efficient.
    – gun – my way is simple – if I feel confident I use second best meta builds of SA-58, M4, SR-25, HK, MP7, AK-103. If I die few times I'll go 1-2 tiers down like AK-104 or MP5 with more budget rig/vest. If I keep dying I'll take 6B5-16, GSSh, pilgrim and VPO with scope and 1 extra mag.
    – DO NOT USE GLASSES – they shine or becomes deep black when you are in the dark so everyone can see your head better!
    – keep better ammo in your alpha/gamma etc.
    – don't buy gun if you can't buy good ammo for it! Better go with AKMS with BP than with M4 with 885.
    – if you're extra broke do ONLY scav runs. Last wipe I wasn't playing my PMC almost at all. I've reached lvl 35 with my scav and made 132 mln in cash only.
    – play smart – make your safe routes through maps like Reserve (good money) and always use those paths and loot boxes, tables, buildings. When you hear gunfight proceed slowly and listen for any movement. Surprise them while healing, looting bodies or running towards extract.
    – try not to exfilcamp – you won't learn anything and you'll loose a ton of time waiting. Sometimes for nothing as maps have many exits.
Follow that ladder up and down and with time you'll start wearing good gear more often as your money will grow.

  2. I started doing this on shoreline in the resort. I didnt bother with a rig or backpack. I didnt bother with looting. I was just there to pick fights. It really changed my game enjoyment.
