📖 STORY OVERVIEW & LET’S PLAY INFORMATION

The world of Teyvat is out setting and is composed of seven nations: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya. Each nation worships one of The Seven gods known as the Archons who each preside over one of the nations. Sounds like a Star Trek episode… Anyway… We follow ‘the Traveler’ as they are separated from their twin and are trapped on Teyvat. As the Traveler we go in search of our lost sister with our companion Paimon… like Navi… but more edible.

Genshin Impact is available on PS4, PS5, PC, Android, iOS & Switch. The gameplay for this playthrough will be captured at 60 FPS on the PC version to take advantage of the higher bitrate on YouTube!

  1. The ability to see elements is Elemental Sight, Dendro is just the fancy element name for plant stuff. Plants burn…you really do feel bad for them.

Also you can press navigate from the quest list to force the destination marker to appear on the map.
The mysterious green floating orbs are used to level up the Statues of the Seven, which increase your max stamina and give you some free stuff. All statues in a region share that level, but different regions have their own suspicious floating orbs as they have different gods. There's a LOT of them so it's best to get them while you still remember where you found them.

  2. comments about what you said + general tips :
    – The stuff you crafted at the beginning are used to level up weapons
    – In the team selection screen, theres a menu called elemental resonance which tells you what perks you get for different team compositions (e.g 2 pyros (fire) gives a 25% attack increase)
    – You really should read the stuff that appears on screen during the tutorials 🙂
    – The elemental sight stays active as long as you dont move. Honestly, its pretty useless in most cases unless in certain quests and bounties (you unlock these later)
    – For archers, you can spam the attack button as well. You dont necessarily need to use the aim function to attack. However for most archers, it does more dps to charge attacks than to spam attack
    – The adventurers handbook (which you unlock at the end of the next part) is very useful to find specific enemies, domains etc etc. Dont be afraid to use it often
    – When in range, anemoculi appear on your mini map as a star symbol but are not visible on the full map
    – There are certain (elemental) resources (for e.g that purple crystal thingy that deals damage when youre near it) scattered across the world that can be broken when you attack them with the right element to cause an elemental reaction. What elements to use for each resource, i think you can experiment to find out 🙂
    – Yes, enemies do have weak points. They do a bit more damage when hit. This mostly applies to archers though since only they can really get their weak points effectively
    – Enemies reset when you go too far from them. Try to avoid that whenever possible. Throwing enemies of cliffs as well can sometimes do that so be careful with jean
    – Wanderlust invocation is the standard permanent banner. The other two are limited ones
    – Im pretty sure you can change the controls in the settings if you want to. Not sure though since im on mobile

    About domains :
    – They are the temple thingies you entered/unlocked during the quests
    – You can teleport to them and do them once you interact with them for the 1st time. This means you need to walk to them first. Then, they can act as additional teleport waypoints
    – There are 2 types of domains: exploration domains and farming domains
    – Exploration domains are the ones you entered during the quests. They give a one time reward. Among the stuff you get, theres a key for certain shrines scattered across the map. The only way to get these keys is through these domains
    – Farming domains are the ones that give artifacts, weapon ascension materials and talent level up materials. There are 6, 2 and 2 of each respectively, found in all current 2.5 regions (youll understand why its .5 when you reach that region)
    – For weapon ascension and talent farming domains, their rewards change based on the irl day

I would not recommend you to farm the artifact domains right now since at lower ranks their rewards are kinda meh but nobody can stop you if you really want to do them. You can find all the info about them in the adventurers handbook once you unlock them (ie interact with them for the 1st time)

  3. About the gacha; from what I understand: The “Acquaint Faint” gacha is just a normal non limited gacha, so when spending primogems, you should throw them at limited banners that use the rainbow colored “Intertwined Faint” since you can get the same stuff as you could with the Blue Gems, and then some special ultra rare limited sparkly mumbo jumbos.

  4. Amber and other archers don't have to charge aim attack to attack. Press circle to attack while not aiming is actually faster than aiming but deal less damage per hit. But to apply elements, you need to charge aim attack until the color of the arrows changed.
Tips about destroying chunk: Chunks can be destroyed faster by using greatswords or plunk attacks. So, Noelle and Beidou are your friends to destroy chunks.

More tips to go. Have fun!

  5. A good damage combo is Bennet + Beidou. It's kind of hard to explain, but you can use his skills to light grass on fire and drop his AOE damage boost then switch to Beidou to use her damage absorbing ability on the flaming grass to dish out massive damage. If you combine them with Noel as your tank and Jean as a damage dealing healer you'll be set.

  7. Ok then, I'll be watching some videos to catch up. In the middle of the video, you found a green thing just floating there. Those are for the statues you will find, give those green things to the statue to get good stuff, especially more stamina. Sorry if ya know that later on, but I'm just saying just in case
