The Genesis Pearl and Herald Of The Dawn | Genshin Impact Theory Lore & Speculation.

First part in trying to understand the cryptic message behind the Gnostic Chorus and the journey of the travelling siblings. In this video I speculate on the identify the first and second heir and the meaning of the Genesis Pearl. What could be the meaning of the journey and the nature of the world? Albedo appears to be searching for the same answers and in doing so he risks bringing another catastrophe to the world.

  1. This and the video before will be expanded upon over the coming videos.

I had weird issues with the voice audio again, eventually solved the problem but I ended making the voice sound a little flat while trying to work out what was wrong. The flat audio is unrelated to the problem, I had just got tired of rendering segments out over and over that I ended up not remastering the voice. ^^; I'll work it out one day maybe…

  2. I think that the twins are originally gods/god like beings from this world. I didn't notice the star thing, but what I did notice is a different design choice on both of the twins. Remember the bracelet things that Paimon wears on her wrists and legs? The salmon colored things? And remember the gold things that look just like those on the statues of the seven? We can see those same things on the twins wrists and lower legs. Just like Paimon. Also, when they fought against the unknown god, their glowey things were white which means they had their full powers, and the twin we pick infuses some sort of magic into their sword after the other one becomes cubified. This magic looks nothing like we've seen anywhere else, and it seems like they have more powers than just that. They probably had elemental powers too, since they immedeatly knew how to use the powers they got by interacting with a new statue. Maybe they were given to them not because the gods thought they were worthy, but because they realized that they should already have them and are trying to return them. This is backed up by the end of the mondstadt story quest, when we have the option to apologize for taking anemo. He goes "hehe" and says to simply use it greatfully. He only goes hEhE when he knows something we don't. Like when he was reminiscing about the lyre for the first time and gave birth to the infamous Paimon meme. Maybe the twins felt it was too dangerous to stay during the archon war so they decided to leave for a while and come back when they weren't in a war anymore. They waited 2k years since it's gods fighting and figured it would take a while for them to finish and for the world to go back to normal. They finally come back and there's another war, but this time not only did the traveller you pick seem to be woken up too early (since the other one left you to sleep while they explored and figured out the situation), but they both were probably pretty rusty, so they lost and now probably regret coming to this world lol

  3. Dainsleif also says in the Teyvat trailer something like 'prove to me that you are worthier than I to save her', with 'you' referring the Aether (the shown protagonist in that video) and 'her' being Lumine, which could further support the idea of the twins being the heirs in the gnostic chrous, and that the first heir was corrupted.

  4. While it is understandable I think that while this may take inspiration from Honkai if this was to be a sequel.

It wouldn't be fair to those who came for Genshin and when they finally find the truth it's about a game they've never played before.

  5. Just a few slight corrections:

Pronunciation: Field Tiler is Field TiLLer.

    Rhinedottir is Rine dot er.

Rhinedottir is female. Her name means "daughter of the Rhine".

Other than that, I was very much entertained by this video. Watched it three times.

Maybe the reason the pearl turns black is because the lost twin now believes the abyss is their home, like the first heir was tricked into thinking?

Looking forward to what the next part contains.

  6. While this is an interesting theory I think it's worth mentioning the snake is more likely to be a reference to the snake in Norse mythology that is related to the end of the world than it is to be a reference to any Christian imagery. Within Norse mythology the being is a snake/dragon creature who is chewing on Yggdrasil, the world tree. Some have interpreted this as the being corrupting the tree as it tries to tear it apart and start Ragnarok. I feel like this makes more sense with the snakes implied connections to the Abyss who want to destroy humanity.

  7. I still think that the Gnostic chorus should be taken as separate story from the main plot. Like it could reflect the twins, but imo it’s too “on the nose”, if you get it. But again, Dains’s “she too loved those flowers” are also on the nose, which could refer to someone else but most likely talks about the person who has those flowers on her head (almost 2 month and Im still disappointed over it)

  8. I really like your lore videos!
Can you explain about Dainsleif and his possible role in the storyline?
After new Archon quest I have some suspicions about him…
We focused on our sibling and forget to destroy the statue and give Dain an eye…
He jump into the portal right to the Abyss hands..
Also in the story video of GI Dain says one frase “Defeat me
    Command me to step aside…”
Hope it’s my own mistake but it could be true that Dain have to hide smth from us

  9. It’s interesting how the pearl, when inside an oyster shell, represents hidden knowledge and a source said that it’s also highly feminine. So it’s a nice detail how the first heir who seeked it was also a woman

  10. If the pearl was not really a pearl just like what you said but is a place, object, a person, or just anything that might be tangible
And it’s called the “Genesis Pearl”
And genesis means ‘origin’ or ‘beginning’ and combine that with ‘pearl’ which can represent hidden knowledge, i think we can interpret that like this:
Search for the genesis pearl= search for the origin/root of all knowledge

  11. Do you think that the snake’s eyes (in the cutscene) having different colors can mean something? Its colors are the same as the Festering Desire’s, the corrupted tear of Dvalin, the red stones that can warm us in Dragonspine and the dragon’s heart in dragonspine. Is it merely a coincidence or is there something else?

  13. Is it just me or the cutscene in the beginning LITERALLY tells us that Lumine is corrupted and believes that she is to be the "Queen of darkness" whereas we(Aether) just picked up our story after 500 years, where she stumbles… Why is no one talking about this?!

  14. Man… your videos keep getting better and better. The editing and scripting is soooo good. I love what u are doing here. During down times like this we don’t have a lot to do after we run out of resin… videos like this gives us reason to push on… cause it will be worth in the end… many surprises still buried deep in the abyss

  15. Something tells me that maybe there will be the "are we the baddies" situation at some point. Some revelation that makes the actions of the Abyss order justified. After all, in the "we shall be reunited" trailer Lumine says that one day Aether will understand why she sided with the Abyss (I'm using the canonical protagonist here for convenience, since this trailer only exists with Lumine as the lost twin).
Of course, maybe she was brainwashed by the Abyss order, and therefore isn't judging the situation objectively. However, the fact that they treat her as royalty, and that she seems to actually be in charge makes me think that she actually is calling the shots out of her own volition. She has to know something Aether doesn't. She arrived to Teyvat first, she saw the destruction of Khaenri'ah (as depicted in the flashback in the aforementioned trailer and confirmed in the dialogue).
