HP management is fairly easy though… if you use a shield team.
i really loves her. her character is so cute and quirky, her idle animation keep makes me giggle, and the gameplay is so fun! . it just feel soooo rewarding when i can pull off her charge attack cancel animation (even its not perfect frame). i have diluc, but it just feel so different, it feels like im strong because of diluc. but with hutao, it feels like she's strong because of my effort.

Only reason 1 pulled hutao was because i got the home instead wgs for diluc. And it was a 50/50 when i got her. Heck i tried to pull her again and won another 50/50 so i have c1 with r1 homa now.
I'm a mobile player and I don't think animation cancelling is really that hard. I can even do invisible charge attacks consistently.
Lovin Hu Tao so far, the one thing I disagree with a lot of ppl on is the sac sword on Xingqiu.
R5 just isn't necessary. I started in Jan, so only have r1 and it's absolutely fine with 180 ER.

Shes Pyro. Her burst is scary. Is she future proof? Possibly. Content hasn't got harder yet. It will eventually due to the games natural progression. But its safe to say if you enjoy her get her.

She's so much fun to play, its like you always have the adrenaline rush to kill first or get killed. Dodging has never been so exciting.
Glad to see someone actually being honest about Hu Tao.
She's great, looks great, pumps out great numbers and requires just a decent amount of investment to pump out big numbers. However, she does not bring anything new to the table that other 5 stars don't already have. Her only advantage over Diluc is that she can hit a much stronger burst of vaporise, but it's hard to even keep consistently vaporising with her. For Diluc, all you need is a Barbara E (not even a XQ lol), and you van consistently vaporise and decimate hordes of enemies without worrying about managing health.
To me, her design and her personality are very nice, not top-tier, but I can see the appeal. I still prefer Xiangling over all the Pyro characters though. To each their own.
Even though I know how strong Venti is and how he trivialises the game, I'm probably gonna only pull for Childe just because of aesthetics, and the synergy his kit has with my team comps.

You DON'T need Sacrificial Sword refinement 5… I have R1 and it's good enough already. But yes, XQ needs ER and sacrificial sword which not everybody has. During downtime, use your 2 other characters. Also you're saying that Hu Tao is hard to master, but you're probably talking about mobile players right? Because I haven't seen a single character out there that is ''hard'' to play on PC, you just need to adapt to their playstyles. Any Hutao mains out there who play with more than 50% HP is clearly doing it ''wrong'' if you're talking from an optimal point of view. I constantly keep mine at 20% HP shielded and never died really. Suggest players out there to not use Bennett with Hutao, tends to overheal, losing 33% extra pyro dmg. Just get XQ and a shield, you'll be fine. Biggest problem of Hutao is her BiS weapon is in a weapon banner trap and not everybody will get it.

She is overrated tbh. My experience with her has become stale. Her kit is very boring and not as flashy compared to others. All she has is BIG damage. But with good team comp, GG weapons, and crazy artifacts, almost all characters can have big numbers too ! Just dont get caught up with the hype. Unless you really like her kit and how she plays, skip her. Im sure more interesting and 'flashy' characters are coming out soon.
Last Friday after a few drinks I decided to yolo it and got her on my 100% at 44th wish. NGL, next morning I was regretting my move, as now I won't be able to get Venti. But I didn't have a strong pyro carry and she is tons of fun to play, plus her VA is great lol
Before Ganyu was out everyone was downplaying her but I still wanted her cause I love her and now that Ganyu is kinda overhype lol

Yes, Hu Tao is not a game changer. But in my opinion, that's a good thing. Power creep is not a good thing. I actually hope more characters in the future come out balanced. Because then the players can pull a character for what they want rather than being compelled by "must pulls."

Honestly I only play Keqing cause she is a good waifu. Obviously I do try to keep her as a good dps but then again I started using her since I felt like she was a good waifu. I am skipping Hu Tao cause she isn’t of my taste. I only play genshin and honkai for the waifus and my taste so yea……I’m not pulling for her. I think I’m either going for Zhongli or just simply skipping everyone till ayaka is out
I had 79 rolls saved up for her. Lose 50/50 got Jean instead. Was given up on her cuz there's no way i can save up primogems in time before her banner end.
Until yesterday got her out of nowhere in just 9 rolls after Jean.
Now i have both Hutao and Jean out of this banner, I'm very a happy man now lol.

I think this video is spot on. I pulled her on my alt, I think she's fun but not a must. The point of my alt though is to try out characters not on my main account so I love her on that account. But im not very interested in her on my main. The HP thing isn't my favoroted thing but other than that she's cool
Im glad i pull her, my old acct that only have Zhongli a 5* kinda suck.. no dps what soever.. abandoned it for 2 whole month and when i got HuTao shes a game changer for me. Also i play on mobile. Animation cancel isn't that hard tbh, but use Charge+Dash(backward to enemy).. it will consume alot stamina.. but thats okay aslong you have the numbers.. im still on fence trying to get her C1, but as f2p.. i better save for Rosaria for melt comp and hope rerun came soon. Also Charge+Jump is doable, but its harder on mobile imo. Definitely NOT a MUST get character because you need alot of skills to use her, her HP consuming skill might turn you off, shes pretty squishy even with high hp(thats where you need shield character), her charge attack dmg is insane, kinda waste if you dont use charge attack.. 🤷 idk thats my opinion of her. Shes "hot"
Look we still have 5 more Regions with 10+ characters per Region. But the big point why you go for a character now is not because of the damage but because you want them just to add to YOUR character colection. We will have so many characters so why not go for the characters you really want.
As a F2P player i tried pulling for hu tao but 2 days ago wich i was grinding to pull her i pulled from her banner with a single wish Diluc and here i am after two days watching this video and wondering if i really need her because i assure you after only 2 days with diluc as my main pyro dps the feeling that i had about how much i wanted hu tao is completely gone. I was already asking myself i wanted her because i had built my keqing as my main dps and i was like now what i dont want 2 dps but i thought its ok i might have her as sub the i pulled diluc and im like i cant leave diluc out of my party and i cant have 3 dps wich 2 of them are pyro, another thing to consider is that you need a really good spear for hu tao wich i dont have so if you dont have a good spear that suits her dont pull for her (fun fact:i got 2 5star in 2 days i pulled diluc and today i got a 5 star book so im thinking of building ningguang)

she was for my main account i don't have klee or diluc, i wanted pyro dps char, she is great and fun to play, play style i like her more then other two
this why you need more subs, I'm sick of a lot guides that says "this character OP, broken, etc" when most of the time they are whale, of course they be doing insane damage because you are testing these chars with high refine weapon and probably have amazing artifacts on them, and even maybe C6 them too.
