Why bother hiding if you can climb a tree and sat there for the entire game?
Using diona as rebel is pretty fun too, there was one game that i kept running from the hunter for about a minute, and that really saved the other rebels from getting caught. Also pretending to be AFK as a hunter might actually help you.

at springvale go to the left side of the map, a house that have been cut out by the barrier, go behind the house, become a hay and hide between the gap
