343 should add NFTs to Halo Infinite to make armor coatings fun!

NFTs are going to take over video game monetization and 343 should get ahead of the curve by adding NFTs to Halo Infinite. Don’t know what NFTs are? Don’t worry, I’ll explain what they are and what they would be like if they were in Halo Infinite.

NFTs are non fungible tokens that are built on block chain. What makes them special is that they allow us to verify the authenticity and ownership of a particular digital entity. They also allow us to trade them.

  1. im a card shop owner and you have no fucking idea what the hell are you talking about, just a call to hoarders, scalpers and more assholes to kill the community from the start, we are already fucked with the amount of macro transactions they will put in infinite to put a hellhole system plus the amount of combination will be limited so those "pack" should be a like 90k packs, you think that too much? oh boi you have no idea, let you an example digimon card game

    – cool coating are you selling it?
    – sure just 576.000

A game with that is a call to failure, even worse tahn battle front 2, kids scamed, lawsuits, stoken block chains, please dont make fuck up ideas, those suits at 343 coudl see this and end halo for good.

and for those who suggest letting artist do their own stuff, they wont do it because that will kill the purpose of the macro transaction shop and yeah they are macro transactions, 5 bucks for a fucking color it not that micro

  3. No thanks. The thing I have a problem with is PAYING FOR ARMOR COLORS. Making it “OnE oF a KiNd” serves only to jack up the price. I’d rather just paint the armor myself, thanks.

I may be a chump, but there’s no way in hell that I’m gonna pay $11,000 for a fucking armor color

  4. I know a lot of people don’t agree with this, but games like Csgo have similar things, and as someone said “having a scratch in a different place” can mean something is hundreds more. The reason why it works is because although most people don’t agree with this or see why it’s useful, streamers, and people that do want skins and pay for microtransactions will make the companies and studios making these games millions.

  5. 343 really needs start releasing more info on this game. The content drought is getting serious. I wish they would release info on characters , lore, and show off concept art.

  6. Sports companies tend not to like gaming companies. Therefore if gaming companies do NFTs first the sports companies may not use NFTs because they wouldn’t like to seem similar to the gaming companies. This would make it so the money that would be spent on sports NFTs could be spent on gaming NFTs.

  7. I hope Halo infinite doesn’t adopt this it would suck to not be able to use your favourite colour combination because there is only one of them maybe it would be cooler if it was only for super unique armour coatings that completely change the look of your armour but with simple armour coatings that are just like purple and white or something would suck

  8. It's a marketing ploy to get people to buy armor. There is literally no reason they can't put color sliders on armor, it's less data than rendering an entire model. So I don't buy that excuse, because that would make them wildly incompetent saying "can't" especially from that studio.
And who is going to wait in a pregame lobby to download a unique player model each session?

  9. I think NFTs should not effect how you look but it would use tags to change its value, you could be the 4678th to earn it ever and the 568th to earn it in that Season and maybe during a certain event these tags would change the value of the NFT and it would also allow 343i to not do lootboxes and some players who don't like limited cosmetics would still be happy because its just text. Would love to hear your thoughts on this system because I think this version would probably work better and be more player friendly than your example.

  10. Or! now keep with me here OR… I could just pick my own fucking colors instead of tracking some specific dick hole down who has the correct color combo of pink and black i want for sale for 69,000,000 doge coins.

  11. I really don’t want extra steps to get my customization. I want to unlock it in game without having to leave my game and go to a separate app. I definitely do not want to pay money for cosmetics. I don’t wanna pay money for anything besides the $60 game. I am not rich. I don’t know why we can’t have classic color combination. I think this is a bad path for halo.

  12. If there were base coatings but each coating varies i think that be the better way. Kinda like csgo skins, you have doppler skins but not all doppler skins are the same. Its intresting enough. But csgo has skins where there isn't variation. I think if there is camo coatings theyre randomized but like watchdog they're the same.

  13. I don't know who in their right mind would spend 11 grand to "own" someone else's layup in NBA. Like WTF is the point?? And with Halo, idk. I think unique armor customization is essential, and that you should definitely feel like your hard work finally paid off… but there's the thing: hard work! If you said "I paid 200$ for this unique skin" everyone is gonna think you're insane. If they were so rare you would never see someone with them in game, but if there are so many 'unique' skins it would make others (like ones people have worked for) seem worthless. This is just too abstract for video games, it should be "play the game, earn the skin, get the clout" not "just buy clout". Seems like microtransactions with less steps. And more stupid.
