Oblivion REMASTERED In Skyrim Is BIGGER Than Expected – Skyblivion

It has been a fantastic week for modding with Bethesda Game Studios games. In the same week we see the release of Fallout: The Frontier, we also receive a massive update for Skyblivion. Skyblivion is the mod that aims to remake Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Skyrim, but in this recent update we learn it is much more than anticipated. The dungeons themselves are receiving a massive overhaul and the world itself is beautiful. Let’s feast on this information and discuss!

  1. Yes more secret passages or hidden walls and trap doors, I love all those ideas. I did not like Oblivion the 2 different times I tried to play it, but in 2021 I like it now. I was looking for a simplistic, light, yet immersive adventure game(Oblivion is fairly light now), but most are terrible, dev teams are poor around 2015 to current, not know how to make compelling stories and lore, well drawn art, with good "pen and paper" adventure. Many games are big flashy type phone App games for cash grab reasons, which are pathetic! Devs need to strive for incredible adventure and stories/dialogue, but devs have gotten lazy, or society has. These new Oblivion mods are very necessary, cause there aren't any game companies making proper respectable adventure games.

  2. I only enjoyed Oblivion for the game play. I like the fact that it doesn't have a sprint button and you can jump while moving as fast as you want. You can do flips and shoot arrows while in the air. You can swing your sword in the air too. It was much faster paced then Skyrim which felt clunky and slow.

Also, you cannot drain speed in Skyrim. Which is the foundation of an athletics/agility based character. You also can't cast spells with a sword and shield in your hands in Skyrim.

One of my biggest issues with Skyrim is that there is no Hot wheel in real time. Everytime you access your hot wheel on Skyrim you have to pause the game and look through a list of items, spells, weapons.

  3. If this doesn't prove that Oblivion and Skyrim are 2 of some of the most beloved video games out there, I don't know what will. Plus, to think that they did this for free just shows how much they love what they do and how dedicated to share their craft with others is incredible.

  4. My first bethesda game was Fallout 3. I remember as a kid watching my brother play it and loved just watching him go through and explore and fight weird enemies and stuff. Eventually my brother set me up and helped me learn how to play the game and everything and I've been in love ever since. Following that I played Oblivion and that was when I fell in love with Elderscrolls. just had to share the nostalgia I felt haha anyways love your vids Matty <3

  5. Skyrim was when Bethesda was out to lunch. Oblivion was them being all hands on deck. This mod is Bethesda hitting nap mode while a team that behaves like the all star starship crew independent studio updates the Mona Lisa to what it could have been.

  6. This is actually a remake, a remaster is a HD retexture or shader, while a remake is making the game from the ground up, hence the name remake. So Skyblivion is a remake, and an example of a remaster would probably be TLOU on ps3 in comparison to ps4.
