  1. I highly doubt Silksong will be a Dark Souls 2, there were more reasons for that game’s failure than just not living up to hype if what I heard was true. Working on Bloodborne and DS2 at the same time, not even the same team as the first game, and Miyazaki isn’t overseeing the project either. I could be wrong about that but they hit the mark with every other game so it’s not like they couldn’t give Dark Souls 1 a good continuation/successor.

I agree though about some of your criticisms on the game, there’s a lack of direction for a while and you don’t even know why you’re in Hallownest until City of Tears(Not the void, Hornet tells you if you want to continue Hallownest’s perpetuation to replace the HK and to seek the Grave in Ash). The spike pits one I agree with a bit as well, but I don’t see it as that big of an issue. It’s only ever really a problem when concerning platforming challenges like Path of Pain, the Soul Vessel in Deepnest that you showed, or the path to Sheo. They never really set you back that far anyway excluding the Path of Pain which is literal hell but that’s kind of the point with it being the ‘Path of Pain.’

    Overall good video though
