Just pointing out that you can't get mending from an enchanting table…
you can turn coarse dirt into regular dirt by tilling it. Also, you can make coarse dirt by combining two gravel with two dirt in the crafting menu, which after tilling the coarse dirt, will double how much dirt you have.
